Links will be provided to access templates for each idea so the participant will be able to start using the tool right away. Ways to assess these types of student projects will be discussed. Time will be alloted for session goers to create their own Google Drawing using one of the templates or without.

This is a conversation about the role of race in education and the impact that whiteness can have on our students of color. Statistically, students of color experience over 291 racial micro-aggressions over a 90 day period. I would like to discuss the impact of these microaggressions and what educators can do to address them and become better supports for students here in Walpole. We can look at suspension rates and SAT scores and talk about solutions to addressing the systemic racism found in the educational system. Led by Bailey Tighe

Most teachers understand that effective RTI practices start with high-quality instruction (Tier I). In addition, Tier II/Tier III interventions are rarely successful without thoughtfully implemented Tier I interventions. The focus of this session will be to brainstorm with teachers effective Tier I interventions for our resistant learners. Come with ideas of what you are already doing and hopefully you will walk away with new ideas from your peers. We will also be discussing Tier 1.5 interventions that examine the importance of consistent interventions for students across their classes. Facilitated by Bill Hahn and Jill Masterson
