My research interests include: television and identity, genre studies, culture and on-screen representations. I live in Melbourne with my Persian cat Sophia and Golden Retriever Ruby. I am a TV junkie but I also love reading, enjoying nature, cooking and vintage/op shop collecting.

As the digital industry blew up, so did the opportunities I had to try out different paths and find my niche in corporate digital communications. Along the way, I obtained a Masters of Information Studies (Online Communications), and for the last 14+ years, I've focused on helping organisations improve the way employees can engage with their workplace digitally.

I love travelling the world (when possible!), reading a good mystery novel, exploring the world of digital content preservation or binging TV shows, movies and podcasts while tackling one of my many sewing projects.

I really enjoy working with post graduate students to help develop their skills quickly in creative and relevant ways. I'm definitely a believer in lifelong learning and my most recent qualification was a Grad Dip in Business Analytics (e.g. it was awesome to understand how to develop machine learning and predictive models). I've been at QUT for about 13 years now in roles associated with learning design and learning analytics (i.e. exploring data related to student engagement and assessment).

Personally, I live in Brisbane with my wife and 13 y.o. son - playing sport (e.g. AFL, cricket, tennis, mountain biking...), travelling (when we can...) and good food is what makes us happy.
