One of the biggest reasons being that I just don’t like how its sounds, I could never make sense of what the singers are saying. I just think that there isn’t a point in making music if no one is able to even understand what is going on. To me to be able to fully understand music you have to be able to connect to the lyrics and screamo is not relatable because I don’t know what the heck any of the lyrics are. Also it’s a little too dark for me. I am all about the lightness and playfulness that pop music is, so dark music isn’t really my thing. Meaning that when I first made the effort to look up all the different pieces of music I didn’t think they would be singing about the same things other mainstream artist would be talking about. But to my surprise love songs do occur in this genre of music.
