They went to school, and practise science.  They have social status - and apply for a loan to get a better house - they buy sell and own things.  They had human jobs, they get married, they cook their food like humans, they could read books, they ate at a table, they print a newsletter, they showed emotions.  Fox writes a newspaper column.  Kristofferson knows karate and meditates.  They play sport - the dive.

Bare feet (except Ash's socks and Kristofferson's shoes). They all use their animal 'senses'. The run really fast! Mrs Fox licks Ash's face clean.
Can see in the dark - Mole.  Mammals' tails don't grow back.  Fox sniffs the air - identifies enemies by smell; They

They are forced to flee their home in pyjamas by digging, leaving everything behind, yet suddenly acquire a lamp. Fox has his Walkman later, even though he fled without it; Ash still has his comics.
