Ride like a girl was largely an inspirational film, considering its meaning and the intended take away of it. The fact that, despite every single hardship she feels, she gets back up, and ends up destroying gendered expectation is amazing. In specific, when she finally won the melbourne open, it felt as though she had finally done what she had spent her entire life trying to achieve.

Michelle payne knew full well that riding again after her injury could cause her death, and yet still she had such strong motivation in her that led her to ride again. Telling stories of her and people like her is important as doing so spreads the importance of not succumbing to gendered expectations and instead doing whatever you want.

Ride like a girl is an incredibly motivational video, considering how it promotes working against gendered expectations telling you to give up, and how this pays off.

It's important to tell the stories of people like this as it sheds light on people who have faced discrimination and discrimination in general It also shows the difficulty of achieving one's dreams. I believe that ride like a girl will inspire some women while showing others how they should not take discrimination and do what they want to do in life.
