These are important because this was when she realized her passion for writing.

Wood then went on to CSU Sacramento and earned MA in Child Development.
Finally, on to UC Davis where she completed her PhD in Education.

Her second book Grandmas Tiny House: A Counting Story:
received a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly and won the CELI Read Aloud Book Award.
Lastly, her third book, SHHHH! The Baby's Asleep, received:
a starred review from School Library Journal.
