I've recently been hired as Robbinsville High School's new librarian, beginning January 2nd. In preparation and for the past year previously, I have been working to expand my PLN to include more resources for the YA school library environment. You'll see on this Padlet that my favorite tool to use to learn and engage with others in the school library field is Twitter. It is amazing! Besides Twitter, you'll also see that I engage in various Facebook group communities, follow multiple Pinterest pages, blogs, and sparingly use LinkedIn. I mostly follow school library organizations but am working on making more personal connections. Attending NJASL 2017 was a bit networking help for me and have followed multiple local school librarians on Twitter since, even corresponding via email with a few. I look forward to expanding my PLN even more in the future as I begin my career as a school librarian.
