I have to start with a personal favorite of mine. I used this throughout high school and it got us interested when we did review for quiz's or tests.
This is a review tools which can be very beneficial when you have an upcoming exam. Everyone can sign on from almost any device and use your passcode to jump into the game. The game works like this.
A question will be presented and after reading it you will be allowed to pick 1 of 4 multiple choice answers. The quicker you answer the question, the more points you score. The person with the highest score wins. The music alone is worth trying it out, very addictive. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
The downside is their aren't many options for how you can play in the game. You can only do multiple choice, and students sometimes like to pick inappropriate names, however you can filter them.

A Web Whiteboard

A Web Whiteboard is an app that can be used on both cellular devices as well as laptop and tablets. It allows for groups of individuals to brainstorm ideas in structured or non-linear paths. It functions similar to Microsoft paint, but is much easier to navigate. It also allows for groups to export the same document onto other viable formats such as .doc, .pdf, and even .jpg. it also allows for drawling, adding GIF's and inserting photographs. The major downside to this format is monitoring what your students post. There is no pre-approval process so there is nothing stopping a student form inserting inappropriate material.

Formative

Formative is an active online formative assessment app. Not only are you allowed to completely build your own assessment but you can also browse a selection of premade ones as well. You can download the premade assessment and edit it to cater to the needs of your own classroom. The best part about Formative is that it allows you to get your students answers in real time. As soon as a student answers the question you can immediately provide feedback. You don't have to wait for a student to finish the assessment to view their answers or provide feedback. Another way you could use this is perfect for reviewing content and comparing students answers in class before an upcoming exam. One downside that I have yet to find out about, is that you can't make the names of your students anonymous if you decide to project the answers on screen to conduct your review. Some students might not like their answers being shown to the whole class.

Pear Deck

This is something I just learned from my first day of student teaching. My mentor teacher uses Pear Deck for her Bell Ringer assignments and sometimes in her actual lesson plans. What it does is allow students to follow along and be more engaged in the actual lesson. You can create a lesson plan that links directly to response questions. It allows for instant feedback and no opening of a different browser to answer the questions on. All responses are immediately sent to you in real time and allow you to respond the same. It even allows for student feedback! If you are utilizing touchscreens you can actually create a mini canvas for your students to select or circle anything you'd like. Say you had a chart on the board showing slope intercept form and your student was telling you they didn't understand a certain part of the chart. Instead of you guys talking and trying to figure out what the kid's pointing at, they can just circle or draw on the area. It's immediate and everyone can see it. It also tells you who is making the edit or mark on the webpage so if a student is being inappropriate you know exactly who it is.
