Gervais tackles his depression and cynicism through his use of humour. However, simply receiving a parcel in the post one day which was covered in 'fragile' tape seemingly solved my problem for how to finally incorporate image with text. 

The colour red had been a key component in my research of On Kawara's work and it was a tone I really want to somehow keep in my piece. The fragile font had this colour I wanted. I love love the combination of black, white, grey and red. Working on this project often lent itself to listening to particularly melancholy music to feel inspired and push myself to opening up to feeling sad which I've found is a great way to purge yourself of any built up emotions you try and push away like my friend's passing.
