I have been a classroom elementary school teacher for 9 years. 

I am a 6th-grade teacher at St. Francis Xavier School in LaGrange, IL.  For several years, I taught Science & Social Studies to my 6th graders, but this year, I also teach  Language Arts (Writing&Grammar) to them.

I have a Type 03 certification with middle-grade endorsements in Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts.

I previously taught grades 3 and 4 in self-contained classrooms. 

My favorite subject is Social Studies, and my enthusiasm for this subject is one of the main reasons why I became a teacher.

I am the youngest of 3 kids in my family. I am very close to my parents and siblings. I grew up in an Italian-American family.

I learn through experience by actually doing a task. For example, I learned to cook by actually cooking and not just by watching others.

My current professional goal is to earn an endorsement as a Technology Specialist, as well as a Master of Arts in Education degree at Dominican University.
