An Introspective Essay on Building a Portfolio using Padlet

One excellent method to take a step back and make sense of what we've learnt is to write reflectively. It enables us to make the connection between our actions and the knowledge we acquired from the experience. I want to discuss my experience using Padlet to create my digital portfolio in this brief review, including the things that went well, the challenges I had, and the lessons I discovered.

In essence, Padlet is an online board where you can share any type of material, including notes, documents, photos, and links. I utilised it to compile my work from this semester into a portfolio, which included projects like a data analysis report and a group presentation on Netflix's digital transformation. To make things easier to understand, miss shannon arranged the board with distinct parts. so I could uploaded files, provided brief justifications, and ensured that everything appeared well-organised.

I initially took some time to learn how Padlet operated. I organised everything according to assessment and chose a layout that made sense for my material. I added pictures, PDFs, and brief explanations of each section using Padlet's capabilities. In order to make the board appear tidy and expert, but also welcoming to explore, I also experimented with the visual aspects, such as colours, organisation, and space.

During this process, I developed some critical abilities. I enhanced my organisation and presentation skills and gained greater self-assurance when using digital technologies. Additionally, it challenged me to think creatively (spicy) about how to transform a collection of tasks into something that narrates my learning. Determining that was surprisingly enjoyable.

There were hiccups, of course. Some photographs didn't display the way I intended them to, and some files were too big to upload with ease. To get things to function correctly, I had to convert or resize them. It was also a little difficult for me to get the layout to appear perfect. I had to explore and make adjustments since occasionally things didn't line up or the formatting didn't appear right. In the end, it was worth the patience it required.

Looking back, I saw I had learnt more than simply how to use Padlet. I discovered that I learn best when I jump right in and figure things out as I go. Additionally, I realised how crucial presentation is; a well-designed portfolio can greatly enhance your work and make it simpler for others to comprehend and value it.

In my opinion, Padlet was an excellent tool for this type of job overall. It is easy to use, compatible with all devices, and facilitates sharing your work with others. I enjoyed that everything updated fast and that I could drag and drop items.

However, it isn't flawless. Some formatting choices are a little limited, and the free edition has storage constraints. Nevertheless, the advantages outweighed those little drawbacks.

Ultimately, creating my portfolio on Padlet was a fulfilling experience. I was able to evaluate my work, get some experience with a digital tool, and show everything in a clean and unique style. Without a doubt, I would use it once more in the future.
