My Future Career

It took me along time to decide what I wanted to do with my life. I used to work as a dental assistant in a pediatric office, and while I enjoyed it, I found myself getting bored and the only thing I liked about my job was getting to work with kids. I considered teaching for a long time, but everyone told me it was not a good idea and it would be a really hard job. But because it sounded like something I would be interested in I decided to volunteer in my church's preschool class. And I am so glad I did. I absolutely adore the classroom setting and getting to teach preschoolers every Sunday. While it comes with its challenges, I love teaching.This has helped me begin my career in education, and I am so excited to be an elementary school teacher one day.

My family is a huge part of my identity. They have helped me grow into the person I am today. They are the people I can turn to when I need help or any kind of support. I feel grateful to have such a loving family unit who I know I can rely on. Everyone brings something different to the table, and our differences make us so much better.

My Beliefs

Growing up in Utah similar to many others I was raised in the LDS church. My parents made the decision to leave the church when I was in middle school. This was a really scary and difficult change for me especially at such a transitional time in my life. Being Mormon was my entire identity, I went to church with all my friends, my entire extended family were still LDS, and I felt I had a very strong belief in the LDS church. For years I had no idea what to believe or trust in and it took me a really long time to look into other religions. In high school I had a friend invite me to a Christian church, and I was really intimidated at first. But I ended up really enjoying my visit, and I started to keep attending. I loved what they were teaching and how a relationship with Jesus was prioritized over religion and religious practices. I am so grateful to the place I am today, God has brought so many amazing people into my life. And I have an indescribable peace and joy through a relationship with God.

Nature

I absolutely adore spending time outside. I love to go hiking, camping, and going anywhere in the mountains. This has become a huge part of my identity. I love inviting friends and family to go hiking or even just getting to go alone. I want to see as much of the world as I can and hopefully I can continue to travel a lot in the future.

Friendships

My friends are a huge priority in my life. Similar to my family they have shaped me into the person I am today. I love being around people and getting to spend quality time with the people I am close too. I not only want to be a good friend but I want to keep these people in my life for a long time.
