I used Padlet numerous times. It allows the students, instead of the teacher, to put notes on the board. Plus the notes save and so the student can go back at any time via the link on google classroom to retrieve the notes. This is especially great for students who were absent.

I have used Kahoot for various uses, including reviewing before a test or a quick "DO NOW" to review material. The students can use their laptops or their cell phones to answer questions. Are you tired of all of those anchor charts? Another way to share an anchor chart with students is to create a slideshow of the charts - the example here is adding a slide per bullet item. As the days/lessons progressed, I added slides with different points or steps. After it's "finished" and students are working on their personal inquiry, you could always print them so students or groups have hard copies.

I've used Google Slides with many of many students over the course of the past 3 years. Prior to that, my students utilized the multimedia program PowerPoint, AppleWorks, and HyperStudio. This school year, 2nd Graders were introduced to Google Slides, in my classes, by creating All About Me Slide Shows.

I used Flipgrid for a homework assignment (it would be too loud for students to record themselves in class). They had to record a description of a person in German. The next day in class, students got a set of questions, listened to 3 different Flipgrids and answered the questions based on the oral presentation of the person's description on Flipgrid. A great way to practice talking, listening and writing comprehension in one assignment.

Skype- we have used Skype to connect with people in South Africa who are working to save the penguins who were damaged in the oil spill. We have also used it to connect with a curator at the WW2 museum in Louisiana to launch our "Get in the Scrap" project. Great way to connect globally!

I used google maps for a virtual field trip to Berlin. Students identified similar and different aspects between a USA city and a German city. They recognized the American influence in a German city, found the historically reason for the modern occurrence of a lot of buildings in Berlin and were able to translate words for sights just by looking at the different sights. Pear deck is an interactive Presentation site - just think PowerPointPresentation with the possibilities for students to interact with you on selected slides. You can add an open ending question to a slide, a quiz, a tool for students to hover over a picture and more. I used pear deck to introduce new vocabulary through listening comprehension activities, practiced writing when students had to answer questions in writing and practiced reading comprehension by adding a text and questions to answer. Much more interesting and powerful than PowerPointPresentation!

Nearpod is similar to pear deck, it's an interactive Presentation tool. One can add different interactive tools to each slide to involve students directly in the learning process. Nearpod offers to add quizzes, tolls, open ending questions, sound, movies, polls, draw ins and much more. It offers a wider variety of interactive tools and add ins than pear deck. I especially like the collaborative feature for the story building process in my classes, where students can post ideas to develop a story.

EDPuzzle offers videos to all kinds of topics using youtube, EdPuzzle, Khan academy and more. One can add questions into the video that students have to answer in order to keep watching the video. It's a great tool to introduce a topic or to reinforce vocabulary by describing sections of the video in the target language.

Hyperdocs are the modern worksheets. In order to hand out work sheets to fill in blanks, one can add links to websites, videos and more. I used Hyperdocs for a unit to Berlin with access to google maps, a research paper, and a video clip. I created another Hyperdoc to the unit "Money and Happiness" with links to a news article, statistic, quotes, a grammar section and a popular song and worksheets to the song. Students can work on sections and complete the Hyperdocs on their own pace or you can choose to work on section together in class.

I have been using Class Dojo since September and I LOVE it!! I use it for all of my classes and for the after-school BSI program. Students track their points using a hundreds chart and can trade in their points for a "Dojo Reward". The parents love it too because they can create an account and see how their child is doing during the day! I can post pictures and announcements too! The private messenger is also great too!

I live in The Bahamas.
In March we experienced our first case of COVID-19. That then led to schools closing until further notice. Our school then found out about Seesaw, instantly we fell I love with the platform.
I am a preschool teacher and my biggest concern was finding ways to keep my two and three year olds engaged throughout the school closures.
With seesaw I was able to upload videos, assignments, assessments for parents to conduct as well as get I stand feedback from parents. Also crest assignments and worksheets within the app. This platform works because it’s limits the amount of paper being sent home or printing, students are able to complete the assignments and post right away! They also have a community library where you are able to search for activities that go along with your lesson plan. You are also able to make your own collections and group them into categories. Once the assignments are completed and sent to our “classroom” it then sends a notification either to your cell deposing on if you download the app or a notification will pop up on your computer.
And the coolest feature to myself was being able to check the work and give positive comments using the video or voice note feature! It was incredible to hear and see their reactions.
After not having face to face instruments for months the students really enjoyed seeing and hearing from me other than our zoom classes.

I use Seesaw daily in my classroom. It reinforces skills we have learned while giving my Kindergartners much needed computer experience. I also have a fully set up Google classroom that we use that has quizzes, forms, slides, etc integrated into it. I also Use Flipgrid to allow students voice in their responses.

I use Google Clasroom in my class daily. Even though we are face to face at the moment, if a child misses school or gets quarantined, I have my classroom set up with assignments posted.
