When they stopped Walt listen and they said "Loren Hall had struck it rich, and his claim was not yet recorded." and Walt knew they were going to jump it. So walt had to do something so he went to the camp picked out, with an experienced eye the fast dogs and he went off. Walt master went to loren hall. During the way to get to Loren he was being shot at and one of his dogs got shot. But he still made it before his prosewers.
