Singapore was also in a convenient area hence it naturally draws more traders to trade here.
Inference: This source shows shards blue porcelain found at Fort Canning dating to 14th to the 18th centuries. This shows that there was trading before 1819 as China traders might come to Singapore and trade with them.
Evidence: An early settlement on the island, called Temasek, had been visited regularly by Chinese merchants.
Evidence This tells me that It was the Srivijayas who named the island Singapura, or Lion City, after its leader claimed to have seen a lion on its shores. However, the Srivijayas were eventually overtaken by a neighboring power, the Java-based Majapahits.

1. Good job on completing all 5 sources with 2 inference and evidence.
2. Source 1: Inference cannot be a speculation, keep it short. For evidence giving, stick to the format.
3. Source 2, 3 and 5: Both inferences have to answer: Who did Singapore trade with before 1819?
4. Source 4 is acceptable.
After you are done with the 5 sources, start on the 100 word individual summary.
Warm regard
Mr Jeremy Wong
