Alex Rojas develops marketing and outreach plans to engage relevant community organizations and works to ensure the district achieves its revenue growth objectives.

Alex Rojas has been with Central Basin since August 2020 and is well versed in a range of relevant topics, including water quality, water conservation, water technology, and SMART utility systems. His prior experience includes serving as chief operations officer at software startup Siembra.

Complementing his professional experience, he earned a graduate certificate in water engineering and management from the University of Colorado Boulder&#39;s College of Engineering and Applied Science. He also holds a PhD in organizational leadership from USC. In addition, he belongs to the San Gabriel Valley Civic Alliance and the Lower Los Angeles and Lower San Gabriel Watershed Steering Committee.

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>California’s residential population and diverse wildlife rely on the state’s freshwater sources, which are threatened by prolonged periods of drought. The state’s ecosystem naturally alternates between wet and dry periods. However, in recent years, droughts have become more frequent, and other factors such as more intense wildfire seasons have made the situation more critical. Between 2012 and 2016, California experienced four of the driest and hottest years in its history.</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
