He was poor so he was obliged to finished the school at 14 years old. His dream was to travel all over the world, and he worked in a factory. Then at 17 years old he was travel all  the world, but the police arrest him and he was prison for 30 days for vagrancy. So, he returned to high school to know more. then in 1896 the gold was discovered in the city of Klondike so he went to Canada, he went so sick, and so he went to his home and the adventure inspirit him to do a book that his name was the call of the wild. then he do more books but afterwards he took a lot of alcohol so he died in 1916 and in poverty.
