The Panama canal was closed so he had to take the long route around south American to the great sea. After three weeks he found the Pacific Ocean.

Why did Vasco Nunez de Balboa die?

He died because a jealous rival falsely accused Balboa of treason to the king then in January 1519 he was tried and sentence to death.

Why did Balboa want to be a famous explorer or an Olympic fencing?

As a young boy Balboa 

 had two dream to become a famous explorer or a Olympic fencing but his dreams never can true and then he became an  explorer.

  • Vaso Nune De Los Balboa was born around 1457 in Mexico Vasco hoped to find land and see. He found the Pacific Ocean in 1513, that is now Panama. He calmed the shores of Spain he wanted to follow the discover of the new world. Balboa dreams was to: be a famous explorer and go be an Olympic fencing champion. Balboa joined an expedition to go to south America. One later Balboa found himself on an island of his Spaniard trying without success  to make a living as a farmer. Several years later in 1510, Balboa became an acting governor for Darien. In 1511 Indians told Balboa the land was called Tubanama were he could find a lot of gold and they told him the land was located across the mountain near the great sea. Then in 1519 Balboa was sentence to death.
