Summary: (Bryan)
"Somewhere I have never traveled gladly beyond" is a poem about a guy who is in deep love with someone. The subject describes and talks about her and explains how she can have power over him in many ways. He can emotionally make him happy by small things such as a small glance and he thinks that everything she does is amazing. He doesn't know how and why she has so much power over him but he is more than glads he does. He is obviously lost in love.

Summary (Jackie):
Chicago is a poem from a man's perspective and how he views Chicago. In this moment, Chicago is a place where there's very poor situations that even involve killings and a very brutal environment. Although it seems dark, it talks about the happiness that's been happened there too. The author would reply to anyone who thinks badly of Chicago by saying, "Come and show me another city with lifted head singing so proud to be alive and coarse and strong and cunning (line 9-10)." Overall stating how although Chicago has a lot of cons, it also has pro's which outweigh the bad from the author's point of view.

Every spring his neighbor and him go on a walk along their stone wall and fix any part of the wall that has gone out. As they walk along the wall, he starts to question the need for the walls. The neighbor then says "Good fences make good neighbors." The speaker then tries to convince his neighbor to not have a wall anymore.
