Lemont Illinois is sometimes called the “Village of Faith” because as you go over the bridge and look into the town, it is possible to see many church steeples rising into the sky. How many steeples canyou count just in this picture!

The Lemont Village Hall is located in the downtown area of Lemont right on Main Street. It is where the Mayor and the Village Board of Trustees meet to run the village of Lemont. There are many offices in this building that help to keep the village services running smoothly.

The Lithuanian World Center is home to 39 different Lithuanian organizations. The center has a Main Hall, both a large and a small gym, a conference room, classrooms , soccer fields, and other offices and rooms. The mission of the Lithuanian World Center is to promote and preserve Lithuanian culture and heritage.

This is our school inside our Computer Lab! Two different parishes in Lemont help run our school. They are St. Alphonsus and St. Patrick. We have about 240 students and we learn many things everyday! Our mascot is the Celtics. This year we are trying our best to make sure we live our Celtic Mission.

There are good hospitals close to Lemont. One is Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital and another is Silver Cross Hospital. Both of these hospitals have immediate care offices right in the town of Lemont so people can go there for care if they are sick or hurt .

The town of Lemont played an important role in the Civil War since almost 300 volunteers from this small town ship served in the War Between the States. Because of this a special memorial has been built in Legion Park to honor the soldiers and sailors who served in this war.

The Lemont Public Library has books, movies and computers for people to use! There is a friendly staff that is will help you find whatever you are looking for. They can even get a book or movie from another Library for you if they do not have the one you want.

There are 48 full-time firefighters/ paramedics in the Lemont Fire Department. There are also other administrative and support persons that help the Fire Department serve the community. The fire fighters and paramedics respond to about 3000 calls a year for emergency help!

The Lemont Road Bridge is a very long bridge that crosses the I & M Canal ( Illinois & Michigan Canal). In fact, the town of Lemont was First settled in 1836 by workers digging this famous I&M Canal. There is a beautiful view of the hills and the skyline of church steeples as you cross the Lemont Road Bridge into town.

A man named Rudy Kling came from Lemont and was a pioneer in the sport of airplane racing in the 1930"s. This 65 foot by 10 foot mural helps us remember his exciting flying career. Our own art teacher, Mrs. Mona Parry, helped create this giant painting!

The Lemont Police Station is located at 14600 127th Street in the heart of the town. Many community programs are offered by the police in addition to protecting our citizens . They help community members stay safe.
