What is something you hope to get out of this class?

I hope to gain insight on many different career paths and hopefully by the end of this class solidify my major for the rest of my time here at UWB.

My top value would be motivation, since in order to get things done you have to feel obligated or inspired to go for that goal. If not your lost.

One thing that surprised me was the amount of assistance and resources there are to assist me in my academic time here.

Communication

Communicating on a professional level like during jobs isn't something I have encounter yet. But I should be fine since it something I choose to do so I feel more confident. Obviously I prefer communicating with people I know. Whether that is a counselor I know about or just friends.

LinkedIn: Introduction to the world of coding ( i am overwhelmed)

I watch 2 videos for one hour, one being the introduction of JavaScript and C++. C++ was something I was more interested in since C++ is used a lot by Google for its search engine. JavaScript is the more common one and the introduction for all programmers. Since it is the easy one to learn which introduces you to many other programming software apps.

For Alumni Panel, I wasn't there since my Zoom thing was not working. Seeing that it was about Tech and Engineering would've been in my wheel house. Would've seen what job they have after graduation

Computer Science (Competitive): It is the most appealing to me since growing up I tend to enjoy being around computer. It is also the reason why my eyesight is so bad. Programming will help me elevate my enjoyment for computers.

Mechanical Engineering (Competitive): Hardest degree to achieve. I mainly wanted to pursue this path because I wanted to get into aerospace design or other corporation that requires high level design and thinking. Mainly to work on planes is what made me consider this.

Marine Biology (Non-Competitive): As a hobby I enjoy fishing with my dad. So dealing with sea life is something I find so cool. Other reason was that our ocean is barely explored, mainly due to the sheer size.
