ITALY - Scuola Media Statale Rosa Bianca Saluzzo

Italian school Scuola Media Statale Rosa Bianca Saluzzo
Watching the lesson. Italy from 27/11/2017 to 30/11/2017
There is one director in Saluzzo and the school is in many buildings. From an early age, students participate in laboratory classes. Individual objects are implemented using various sensory, motor and plastic techniques. Children are already learning in a kindergarten block, they are taught a specific day plan.
We watched all parts of the school's work plan - the child's work plan. Participants' statements:
- Kamila Piesiakowska - a good idea is to encode information like: who, when, why, in what place with the help of colors. A specific color is assigned to each information. Students, while reading the text, emphasize the information with the right color. Blue - when, green - where, yellow - who, red - what, orange - why. You can use it in any subject.
- Ewelina Kosmala - thinking about disability in Italy, can be an example for the whole world. Everyone learns together, accepting their imperfections, learning together and accomplishing certain tasks.
- Ewa Radanowicz - Italians do not accept second-gradeness, they are focused on giving people who have problems a lot. I like the organization of the day, hour lessons and that classes that last until 13 o'clock, and then there are developing classes. They publish a school newspaper twice a year. Each class prepares an article for the school newspaper. The classes have the shape of a hexagon (honeycomb).
- Jacek Mielcarek - students prepare project work from English, where they summarize all the most important issues from the converted departments. Pupils watch movies in English comparing a film with a given issue from a book. The language used in English lessons is English only. All students play on various musical instruments. After many hours of exercises, students play a concert for parents, teachers and invited guests.
- Marta Kwiatkowska - all students receive at the beginning of the year a calendar prepared specifically for their school, which included, among others: information for parents, timetable, rules, grades and notes of students. The rest of the calendar was filled by the students themselves. The calendar has an attractive graphic design for students.
- Justyna Drożdżewska - the work of non-disabled students with the disabled, makes them sensitive to all "otherness". It was evident that working together makes everyone happy, it is not only natural.
- Sebastian Masłowski - the school grounds are closed, parents are served in the service office. Lessons from science are at the beginning of the day. There is a two-hour break between lessons. Weekly project tasks are asked one week before the lesson. They develop creativity and mathematical skills.
- Elwira Stawska - I liked the classes / subject of animated reading, during which the children sit on the floor in the prepared room and the teacher reads books, stories and stories while presenting the content in the form of drama. In this way, both non-disabled and disabled children can understand the content.

School De Fontein - Sint-Niklaas Belgium
From 15/01/2018. until 18/01/2018 We stayed in a Belgian school
De Fontein in Sint-Niklaas. Children from 2 to 12 years of age attend the school. Belgian
the school belongs to educational innovators and to international organization Ashoka. The education model used in the De Fontein school derives from philosophy
FerreLaevers. The motto of this school is that if the teacher is happy, eager to act, open, can then achieve a lot. Students learn respect for others pupils, to teachers and parents. They learn responsible action, responsibility for their duties and deeds. The well-being of a teacher is affected on students' well-being, which gives students the effects in their work. Very important
for the teacher is to get to know the child, to improve his abilities and interests. Every day at school begins with the meeting of students, parents and teachers in the yard
at school, who have the opportunity to talk to each other about different life issues. After entering the class, students start a lesson from meeting in a circle. Conversation in a circle is connected with everyday life. They ask themselves questions, they boast of themselves
interests, achievements, build communication in a group. They talk about problems and positive. Students have the opportunity to express their own opinions. Pupils
they sign a contract with a given subject, they work on the implementation of tasks themselves. They choose
difficulty levels, from three levels (bear, tiger, wolf). During lesson
the student spends most of his time working alone. He carries out tasks at school, alternatively
at home. During breaks, students spend time in the school yard where they have there are many devices at your disposal that allow you to develop various activities. They're there: tunnels, slide, hydrant to draw water, monkey grove, garden accessories, garden
and other. All tools in the school yard are used to develop physical functions, cognitive and social. Students have the opportunity to participate in various workshops,
such as: culinary, theater, gardening, music, art and other. Pupils
enjoy taking extra organized by the city of Sint-Niklaas, where they can
develop your talents.

SANDS SCOOL
On 15-18.05.2018 we stayed at the English school Sands School
in Ashburton. It is a school that belongs to the international organization ASHOKA.
The school is attended by children from 11 to 17 years old. Most students are school pupils
primary. Among them are primarily dyslexics and autism. This is a school truly focused on children who are taught in small groups
with a democratic ethos that supports mutual respect and self-education. Between the student and the teacher are built up mutual trust, and the students take key decisions about your own education and the daily functioning of the school.
