Do not set your students up to fail with your assignments.          <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Reading Improvement</strong></p><p><br/></p><ol><li><p>All members attended Student Motivation. This session was a good reminder that motivation and engagement are different yet interrelated in terms of student success and hopefulness in their futures. </p></li><li><p>We finished our CHAMPS slides for Reading Workshop, which we will implement during the second Semester with our students to be more consistent with expectations. We also discussed our plans for the rest of December.</p></li><li><p>Schedules changing for 2nd semester. Meeting to make sure both PCMS and PPMS have the right students for Reading and Math Workshop starting in January?</p></li></ol>]]></description>

This process lead to discussions on how we, as a PLT, can revise our own lessons/activities to gain more engagement from our students.  </p><p><br/></p></li><li><p>We talked about our next Power Standard Plan, and tried to incorporate lessons which reflected these new practices.  </p><p><br/></p></li><li><p>We also reviewed our data from our first CUA on Chemistry. </p></li></ul></li></ol>]]></description>
