Today I’ll present you the material that industrial P&O worked on, about technical competences.

I apologize for the presentation all in Portuguese, we didn’t have time to translate the material, I’m sorry for that, but if you don’t understand something, let me know.

The motivation that industrial education area had to work on this process is to support and guide leaders and team members through the development. To be more transparent with team members and the delivery they are expected in this career and support team members with self-development.

The Project historic was: they started in 2011 and finished mapping competences last year. They mapped only the industrial areas: operation, maintenance, engineer process, lab and HSE.

So, they used a concept that in Braskem we trust, which is, knowledge, know what to do, ability, know how to do, attitude and be willing to do.

The technical competences model helps the reflection about the challenges and achievements from team members during their career, basing in key deliveries that represent the challenges.

This is the construction that we need to identify the technical competence. 

For each competence there could be a key delivery, proficiency levels, and the essential knowledge than, for each seniority, a different competence is required.

Basically, here is the methodology that they used to develop each competence. 

We can see here an example. One competence, the key-deliveries and seniority. 

Then, they created a tool to evaluate technical competences. 

Look, the layout and system is the same as our PA’s and it supports leaders and team members during the PA flow, appraisal phase.

You could choose the year, select the line that you would like to evaluate, and the team member can see the description of the common competences, check to understand each key delivery descriptions and see each profession level.

And just to remember, it’s important to answer for common competences and specific ones. 

And if you’d like to use our maps in the system, we can align with the area, because it’s important to use the same methodology to create competences.

 

So, it could be a global tool and if you would like to understand better the methodology or to use the system to evaluate global tech process like this, we need to talk with industrial P&O area.
 I’ve shared with them your competences map, they told me that you are very ahead of schedule, but to use this kind of tool, we need to put in the same methodology and maybe to do some adjustments. 

Use the Simple Past to express the idea that an action started and finished at a specific time in the past. Sometimes the speaker may not actually mention the specific time, but they have one in mind.

We use the Present Perfect to say that an action happened at an unspecified time before now. The exact time is not important. We can use the Present Perfect with unspecific expressions such as: ever, never, once, many times, several times, before, so far, already, yet, etc.

· James has not finished his homework yet.
