Turn that down! It isn't loud enough if you can't feel it! By Alexa Christensen

The most important trait to include in a metaphor is the ability for the reader to connect. If the metaphor isn't connectable, it does not leave an impact on the reader and leaves confusion. By using a connectable/"loud" comparison, the reader will physically feel the emotion that you are trying to convey. If they "can't feel it", "turn it up!" and use a more precise comparison.

The most important trait to include in a metaphor is the ability for the reader to understand what the author is saying. If the author is unclear in their message, the reader will not be able to make sense of it. Which means it won't have any impact on the reader. When the author uses the right words and makes the topic interesting, the reader will be able to appreciate what they are reading. Not only that, but they may want to implement the metaphor into their life.

The most important trait in a metaphor in my opinion would have to be for the writer to communicate their point or opinion clearly through their metaphor to have the audience or reader correctly understand and comprehend the metaphor. If the metaphor isn't clearly communicated, the reader can misunderstand the metaphor and not get the author's point or they can just be unable to comprehend the metaphor.

In my opinion, the most important trait in a metaphor is being able to come up with a word or a phrase that clearly paints a picture in your reader's mind. It is much easier to understand a concept or topic when the author gives you a clear connection to something that is more well known or that you can easily imagine in your mind.

One of the most important and common traits I think a writing metaphor can have is overcoming some difficulty through the work you provide. When you put in the effort we can all achieve the goal our writing has, and I feel that if we don't provide that conflict in our writing then it isn't challenging us to improve upon our writing.

The most important trait in a metaphor is, to impact the reader/audience in some manner and be able to clearly convey those topics. Its much easier to write from experience and therefore easier to relate from experiences told by the writer. Good Writing takes time and we need to treat it more tactically and creatively, like chess.

The most important trait in a metaphor is making sure it is unique. If the metaphor doesn't stand out to the reader, it is likely they won't remember your work and will get bored. It is very important to use your creativity to make the metaphor stand out. After all, what's the point of using a metaphor if the reader is going to forget it?
