         <description><![CDATA[<div>At .1s, the vertical displacement measured via pivot interactive lab is -1.2 m whereas I calculated -.049 m. This difference can be attributed to the following reasons:<br><br>1. Thrust force: In the actual experiment, the thrust force of the aerodynamic block significantly affected the vertical height of the block, by providing a force adding to the motion of the block. However, this was neglected by my calculations because, thrust force was considered negligible by the lab. This would make my calculated vertical distance lower than the actual vertical distance.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Comparing computation of velocity of puck at .3s to the velocity depicted in the graph. The graph of displacement on ramp (m) vs. time (s) has a slope of 6.4 m/s. This means that the velocity across time according to Pivot should be about 6.4 m/s at .3s. My computation, however, states that the velocity is 7.7 m/s at .3s. <br><br>Here are some reasons for this difference:<br><br>1. Air resistance would produce a significant difference between the average velocity of the block, calculated by measuring the slope of the position vs time graph of the block, and the instantaneous velocity of the block at .3s. This is because the average velocity of the block would reflect the total distance that the block traveled, divided by its time of travel. As the block travels, however, it is decelerating due to the force of air resistance opposing its motion. As a result, the average velocity of the block would be lower than its instantaneous velocity at the very beginning of its descent. </div>]]></description>
