Plot:
Jonas lives in a "perfect" society without colors, war, or emotion. At age 12 he is given the title Receiver of Memory when he learns about the world outside from an elderly man called the Giver. He also learns about death, which nobody in the society knows about. Jonas and the Giver devise a plan to free the society from its structure and bring memories back to people. Jonas risks his life to escape and release the memories. 

Evaluation and conclusion:
This is a very complicated story with lots of hidden meanings. It may be a warning against the idea of a "utopian" society because there is no such thing as a perfect society, and some people's ideas of perfect societies take away freedoms from other people. It's also about how important all emotions are, even bad ones, because they make the good ones that much more precious. I would recommend this book to anyone, especially if they are considering going into politics. 

Plot:
Stanley Yelnats is punished for a crime he did not commit because his great-great grandfather was cursed. He goes to Camp Green Lake, where the Warden forces all of the campers to dig holes. Stanley and his friend Zero realize the Warden is looking for something, probably buried treasure. When they run away from the camp, they learn about the story of Kate Barlow, an outlaw who killed people and robbed Stanley's great-grandfather. Stanley and Zero return to camp and find the treasure. Stanley is proven innocent and released from camp.

Evaluation and conclusion:
I think people of all ages should read this book. It is funny, sad, and has an unexpected plot twist. I like the way the different stories in the present and the past weave together. Reading Holes will make you think about what is bad luck and good luck, and may change your perspective.

The Johansens help them escape through a clever plan to hide them in a coffin and put them in Henrik's boat that he sails to Sweden. Along the way, Annemarie learns about the courage of the resistance fighters and the sacrifices her family has made.

Evaluation and conclusion
This is partly a historical fiction book because it contains elements of the true story of the war in Denmark, even though the characters did not actually exist. I would highly recommend this book because it puts you in the shoes of people who lived through the terror of the Nazis. It is also a story about the power of friendship, and anyone who has had a best friend can relate to the love between Ellen and Annemarie.

Vola: A woman Peter met who staying with her.

Plot: One night a boy named Peter had ran away from home and abandoned his fox named Pax because of a war coming. Pax met three foxes named Gary, Runt, and Bristle all three who decides to travel with Pax and help him find Peter. Gary told Pax that there is a Coyote in the woods so he had to watch out. While Peter broken his legs, he meet's a woman named Vola. Peter stay's with Vola for a couple days in her barn, but Vola had three conditions. One condition, she said nonnegative, for the second condition, Peter will have to tell Vola about why he was wearing a bracelet, and the third condition was that Vola needed his help for something she could not tell right now. Peter wares a bracelet because it belonged to his mom who had died. Peter also tells about his fox Pax and why he abandoned him. Then Peter wants to find Pax. Peter had been having some memoires with his mom, how had died, his dad who is still alive, and his fox Pax. On a rainy day, Peter had to help Vola because of the third condition, was to move puppets so a bird can get to its nest. In the night, Pax and the others had to run away from the coyote Gary talked about. They hided somewhere safe. At the morning Pax and the others had gotten away from a humans camp with out getting caught. They dig a hole where they can stay safe. Peter leaves Vola and goes to the woods searching for Pax. Pax and the others were being chased by the coyote. When they escaped for the woods, Pax and Peter met each other. Peter told Pax that he should stay whit Gary, Runt, and Bristle and Peter deiced to return home.

Evaluation and Conclusion: I think this is a great book because they have one chapter that is focusing on Pax, and then the next chapter was focusing on Peter. I like that Pax and Peter were not alone, instead they had others who were whit them and able to help them.

Plot:
Billy lives in the Ozark Mountains of Oklahoma, a hunting country. Billy yearns to own hunting dogs. So, he saves up his money to get 2 Redbone Coonhounds. He decides to name them Little Ann and Old Dan. Soon, Billy and his dogs become the greatest hunting team in the Ozarks. Through many remarkable nights of hunting and many close calls, they make it to the Hunting Championships. At the championships, Billy realizes how much his dogs mean to him, and how much he took them for granted.

Evaluation and conclusion:
This is a very heartfelt story about a boy and his dogs. I also think that there are several lessons you can learn from the characters. This book is good for all ages. It conveys a wide array of emotions from sadness to joy. The book is inspired by the author's own childhood adventures. This book doesn't contain action or any intense drama. But, the fact that this story could really happen in real life allows the reader to be transported to the moment. The author does a wonderful job with the detail. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys realistic fiction and a good book that makes you feel all warm inside.

Plot: 
Artemis has developed a condition without knowing it, this condition has caused him to have obsessive-compulsive behavior, paranoia, and multiple personality disorder. Basically, Artemis has lost his mind. At the worst time too because one of Holly's old enemies, Turnball Root has set his plan in action. His plan to sink Atlantis. Meanwhile, Artemis in his ruined state comes up with a plan to save the world from climate change. During the meeting where Artemis proposes his idea to the fairy worlds top officials they are ambushed my Turnballs space probe. Soon after Artemis's alter ego comes out, Orion Fowl. Orion is the complete opposite of Artemis, he is not a daredevil, he is not smart, and most of all he is not a criminal mastermind. However, he does have a trait Artemis does not, he is in love with a certain Holly Short. Through all the ups and downs and romance novel moments Holly manages to get Artemis back to his normal self and defeat Turnball.  

Evaluation and Conclusion:
This books is a mix of multiple genres. It is made up of adventure, fantasy, and mystery. It teaches the reader the lesson to ask for help when they are having problems with their mental health. It also teaches the lesson that even if you are the smartest most perfect person in the world you still will have some problems and you need to ask for help with those. This book is part of the Artemis Fowl series and is the 7th book.

Plot: Apollo, attacked again and again by monsters, finds out of a company called Triumvirate Holdings, and soon pieces together that a Triumvirate is a government ruled by three people - one of them The Beast (Nero) and two other unknown people. They want to control all of the Oracles, which  will give them infinite power, and now Apollo must stop them.

Evaluation and Conclusion:
For people who are really interested in action and adventure, and a hint of mystery, this book has the perfect blend for you. This book is about mythology, and I have actually learned the names of a few gods with this book.

Hermione Granger: Another friend of Harry's and the smartest of them all.

Albus Dumbledore: Headmaster of Hogwarts

Plot: The chamber of secrets is opened and it can not be closed.People are mysteriously freezing and it is Harry's duty (or at least that is what he thinks)to find out who the heir of Slytherin is and stop him.

Evaluation & Conclusion: This is an amazing book and I would give it a 8/10.It is not the best on the Harry Potter series but definetly a top three.I think the author should tell more about the Slytherin house in this book because they are very important.I recommend this book to people who like mystery,adventure,fantasy,and a little bit of Quidditch(a sport).

Introduction ~ This book is about a boy named Marcus and his slave dad "Tata" escaping the destruction of Pompeii.

Summary ~ Marcus tries to rescue his dad and when he did, they go to a place to hide out so no one catches them. Soon, they realize destruction is about to occur. They go to warn the city but no one trusts them. However, as it's happening Marcus and Tata find an escape passage and go through there and it saved their lives!

Plot ~ Marcus, an 11-year-old boy is living by himself in Pompeii. His dad is a slave and has been taken away from him. On one lucky day, a lanista, a few guards, and some slaves come into Pompeii. He thinks he recognizes a specific slave and he thinks it's his dad! As they get a bit closer he knows for sure it's him! He rushes in to give his dad a big hug and steals him away! But the guards catch him and take him back. Marcus finds a point where they are distracted, get's his dad and a horse and they run away! They go somewhere where no one will find them. Soon, from their view, they can predict destruction is about to occur! They immediately rush down back to the village and warn everyone that something terrible is about to happen. However, no one believes them. The guards immediately snatch Tata (Marcus's dad) back. But not too long later destruction occurs. Marcus and his dad flee with the rest of the crowd to safety and they have to try to make it to the gates. While they are hiding out, they see a statue. They go to check it out and discover a secret tunnel out of Pompeii!!! They go down without hesitation and soon enough they are at the gates. They quickly rush to the hill to get their horse. And now they are saved!

Evaluation and Conclusion ~ Overall, this is a very good book especially for people who like action and adventure. I really recommend it and hope you have as much fun reading it as I did!

After a girl named Abby also summons nothing, it is Conor's turn. He drinks the Nectar and a blue-eyed wolf suddenly appears on the stand. It happens to be Briggan the Wolf, a Great Beast and the patron animal of Eura. Conor unconsciously reaches out and rests his hand on Briggan's head, solidifying their bond. The crowd is astounded, and Devin is furious. Conor and Briggan are then approached by a man in the crowd named Tarik, who is a member of the Greencloaks. Tarik accompanies them to Greenhaven, the Greencloaks' base.

The second chapter introduces Abeke, who is from Okaihee, Nilo and has also turned 11 years old. In her village, it is tradition to give a gift at your Nectar Ceremony. Abeke decides to hunt an antelope as a gift instead of making a decorative bowl like her sister, Soama, which disappoints their father, Pojalo. Nevertheless, Abeke can have her Nectar Ceremony. When she drinks the Nectar she summons Uraza the Leopard, the patron animal of Nilo, and causes a sudden rainstorm. The village believes Abeke to be their new Rain Dancer, a person who can summon rain and prevent drought and famine. Pojalo is unsure about his daughter's new spirit animal and what it meant for their village. Soon after the Ceremony is over, a mysterious man named Zerif approaches the family. Zerif convinces them that Abeke and Uraza are unsafe in the village, and must travel with him.

The next chapter is set in Jano Rion, Zhong from Meilin's point of view. Meilin is the daughter of General Teng, making her quite wealthy. She prepares for her Nectar Ceremony by perfecting her make-up and etiquette. A man named General Chin steps in and informs her that Zhong is being invaded a ways away from their city - the invaders are called the Conquerors, and are clad in black armor. This alarms Meilin, and she almost calls the ceremony off. Chin tells her that the public does not yet know of the invasion, and it would be best to continue with the ceremony. Following his orders, Meilin arrives at her ceremony fashionably late. Unlike in Eura, the wealthiest children drink the Nectar last, so Meilin is the last to be called to the stand. She drinks the Nectar, and summons Jhi the Panda, the patron animal of Zhong. This both surprises and disappoints Meilin, who was hoping for a more fierce spirit animal, due to her love for combat. A Greencloak named Lenori approaches Meilin, but their meeting is cut short by emergency bells being set off in the city. The Conquerors fire into the crowd, causing chaos to break out The Siege of Jano Rion takes place. Meilin and Jhi quickly leave the scene alongside Lenori, Chin, and General Teng. From one of the towers, they watch as the city is burned to the ground. Teng tells Meilin that she should travel with Lenori and ally herself with the Greencloaks. Meilin wants to stay and fight alongside her father, but eventually, she gives in to his wishes and leaves the city with Lenori.

The fourth chapter is told from Rollan's point of view. Rollan is introduced as a street orphan who lives in Concorba, Amaya. One of Rollan's friends, a boy named Digger, is gravely ill, which prompts Rollan and two other friends to seek out an apothecary. Rollan speaks to the man at the counter, Eloy Valdez, hoping to get Willow extract, a medicine, even offering to work for it. However, Eloy does not accept his offer and tells him to leave. While he is distracted with Rollan, Smarty, one of Rollan’s friends, darts behind the counter and steals the willow extract, which Rollan did not know he would do. Eloy is furious and turns Rollan over the town's militia. The militia puts him in a jail cell, where a Greencloak asks Rollan if he had drunk the Nectar yet. Rollan replies that he hasn't, and the Greencloak offers it to him. When Rollan drinks the Nectar, he summons Essix the Falcon, the patron animal of Amaya, shocking the Greencloak and the other inmates. Almost immediately after this happens, Zerif appears and introduces himself. He pays Rollan's bail, and they leave the jail. However, Rollan soon becomes suspicious of Zerif, especially with Essix enhancing his intuition. He distracts Zerif and makes a run for it, managing to outrun the man and his jackal spirit animal for quite a while. Zerif would have caught Rollan if not for the appearance of Olvan, the commander of the Greencloaks, astride his moose. Zerif retreats and Olvan and Rollan travel to Greenhaven.

Abeke and Zerif arrive on an island in Amaya, where Abeke has been assigned a mentor: Shane. During one of their training sessions, Shane stages a fake invasion and has an "assassin" take on Abeke. She defeats him with little effort, using Uraza’s skills to aid her, believing that the invasion was real until Shane tells her to stop and that it was fake. Abeke isn't amused by the trickery so Shane promises to never do it again. Abeke is now able to put Uraza in passive state on her arm due to their bond strengthening.

Meanwhile, in Greenhaven, the other three kids and their Great Beasts are introduced to each other. They are given rooms in the castle, and in the middle of the night, Rollan decides to run away. He doesn't get far, however, because Conor and Briggan find him. Conor manages to convince Rollan to stay and at least hear Olvan's plan for them. The next day, Tarik has the three kids and their spirit animals do bonding exercises. First, they are blindfolded and have to point to where their spirit animal is, which Conor excels at and Meilin fails. Rollan can sense which half of the room Essix is in, but not much else. Then they have a race that tests their agility and strength, which proves that Rollan has the most speed, Meilin has the most strength, and Conor has the best bond. Meilin still feels that her bond with Jhi is useless, although she can put the panda into passive state on her hand, and makes Jhi walk back to their room, rather than the preferred journey in passive state.

Abeke and Uraza decide to explore the island at night. They discover a group of Conquerors with a caged dog on the beach, and to Abeke's horror, the dog is fed the Bile and becomes a monster. It senses Abeke and Uraza and breaks out of its cage, giving chase into the jungle. It almost catches Abeke, but Uraza attacks it, which saves Abeke’s life. Shane finds them afterward and kills the dog before they head back to camp.

In Greenhaven, Lenori discovers that Conor has prophetic dreams due to his bond with Briggan. In Conor's dream, he sees a bear and a raccoon, along with a huge ram. This prompts Olvan to bring the Greencloaks together for a meeting. He explains their predicament with the Conquerors, who plan to take over Erdas, and that their best plan of action would be to seek out the Great Beasts' talismans before the Conquerors can. Conor and Meilin readily take their Greencloak vows and agree to aid in this plan, but Rollan is skeptical. It is eventually decided that Rollan would still help out, but he would not officially join the Greencloaks. Once that is settled, the three kids and Tarik prepare to leave for Amaya to seek out Arax the Ram, as seen in Conor's dream.

Meilin discovers that her bond with Jhi has caused her to start sleepwalking. She sleepwalks onto Sunset Tower and luckily Jhi can wake her up before she could do anything dangerous. This makes Meilin appreciate Jhi more.

Meanwhile, Abeke and Shane prepare to have an audience with Shane's uncle, General Gar, along with Zerif and Yumaris the Seer. Gar and Zerif explain the war from the Conquerors' point of view, and Shane adds on with the history of his homeland, Stetriol. Abeke ultimately decides that she believes in their cause and will help them look for the talismans. Both parties head for Boulder City, where Arax was last seen.

Conor, Meilin, Rollan, and Tarik reach Boulder City, where Tarik believes they will find the bear and raccoon seen in Conor's dream. They go up to the counter in a general store, where Tarik requests to see Barlow and Monte, former Greencloaks. The man behind the counter tells him that they are gone, but Rollan can tell that he is lying. Hostility from customers causes a fight and the man attempts to escape but is soon cornered. Giving up, he introduces himself as Monte and takes the group to see Barlow. Tarik explains to Barlow that they must find Arax in the mountains. At first, Barlow refuses to accompany them into the mountains, but he is convinced by the appearance of Jhi, Essix, and Briggan. The group is then guided by Monte and Barlow and their spirit animals, Scrubber the Raccoon and Jools the Grizzly Bear.

Along the route, they encounter The Ravens, who will only allow them to pass if they win a duel. Meilin is chosen to fight after Essix votes for her, and nobody is willing to disagree with the Great Beast. Meilin wins the fight against Derawat, the Ravens' leader, which allows the party safe passage and showcases Meilin's combat skills. As they continue, they encounter strange weather conditions, like hail. Barlow explains that Arax has influence over the winds and is warning them to turn back. However, they continue their pursuit and eventually find Arax. Tarik tries to convince Arax that they need his talisman before their enemy could find it, but Arax is stubborn and disagrees. When the Conquerors arrive only minutes later and attempt to steal the talisman, Arax accuses the Greencloaks of distracting him and goes on a rampage, narrowly missing Tarik with his charge. The Battle for The Granite Ram ensues between the Greencloaks and Conquerors.

Tarik duels Zerif while Meilin is knocked down by Shane. Abeke is distanced from the fighting and taking shots with her bow, and soon realizes that she may be on the wrong side when Uraza recognizes Jhi. Uraza helps Meilin and Rollan before helping Abeke with her powers to jump up to the place where The Granite Ram is hidden. She claims the talisman and hops back over, but Arax charges her when he sees his talisman over her neck. Barlow is given a surge of strength from Jools and he intercepts the charge, grabbing Arax by the horns and throwing him off of the mountain, and saving Abeke's life. Before Abeke can thank him, Zerif stabs Barlow from behind, killing him. Abeke is horrified, and Barlow's death only makes her feel better about switching sides. The Conquerors retreat without Abeke, and Tarik welcomes her and Uraza to the Greencloaks. The group buries Barlow in a green cloak as Monte says his goodbyes, and the Greencloaks return to Greenhaven. Monte becomes a Greencloak again in Barlow’s honor.

At the end of the book, Conor discovers he can put Briggan into passive state. He then tells Rollan, Meilin, and Abeke that he had been having nightmares about a boar.

Evaluation and Conclusion: Overall this was the best book I have ever read! This book was so good I read 5 times already and know these events by heart!

Plot:
Jesse Aarons life was perfect. During the summer between 4th and 5th grade something changed though. Leslie Burk moved into the old Perkins place don the road. Leslie was lot like the other girls in town. She wore a tank top and torn jeans everyday. Jesse had practiced all summer so that he could be the fastest kid in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. But, when the races began on the first day guess who beat him? Leslie. Day after day Leslie beat all the boys. So much so that after 1 week no one was racing anymore. But, soon after Leslie wrote something for school that was so invigorating to Jesse that he decided he had to make friends with Leslie. So, Jesse and Leslie went into the woods near their houses and founded a kingdom called Terabithia. They ruled Terabithia together. Then at Christmas they even got a dog prince named Prince Terrien. But, a few months after Christmas Leslie dies taking the magic of Terabithia with her.

Evaluation and conclusion:
This book is very interesting. The book is really a realistic fiction book but within the story there is a fantasy of Terabithia. The title comes into play only at the end of the book which encourages the reader to continue reading. I think the theme of this book is don't judge a book by it's cover because in the beginning Jesse didn't want to talk to Leslie because of how she looked but after that Jesse realized what a great person Leslie is and became friends with her. Bridge to Terabithia is a really great book that is good for anyone!

Introduction: The Lost Hero is a book about three demi-god teens who need to save Hera, the queen of Mount Olympus, before a giant awakens and defeats them, and save Piper's ( one of the main characters ) dad, on the same day.

Summary: Jason, Leo, and Piper, need to save Hera, the queen of the heavens, before the summer solstice, and also before Gaea, the mother of all titans, awakens and takes over the gods. They also need to save Piper's dad from getting eaten, or mentally torn, before the Summer solstice too. They face many challenges along the way, and they learn and get to control their powers. Jason can summon lightning, Piper can use charm-speak, and Leo can make and control fire.

Characters: 

Jason: The Lost Hero, a Roman demi-god, Piper and Leo's friend, Son of Jupiter.

Piper: Jason's "friend", a Greek demi-god, daughter of Aphrodite.

Leo: Piper and Jason's friend, Son of Hephaestus, has the power of fire, a Greek demi-god.

Annabeth: Percy Jackson's girlfriend, daughter of Athena, a Greek demi-god.

Coach Hedge: Gleeson Hedge, a satyr, the protector and guide for Jason, Piper, and Leo.

Plot:
Jason wakes up on a bus without his memory, and can't even remember how old he is. Two other kids, Piper and Leo, claim that they know him, even though he doesn't know himself. They explain that they're on a field trip to the Great Canyon, but when they arrive there, weird things start happening. Everyone but Jason, Leo, Piper, Dylan ( Piper's "partner"), and Coach Hedge get locked inside a building, while they are stuck on a glass bridge with storm clouds all around them. Dylan magically turns into an evil storm spirit, and after Leo almost falls to his death, Piper almost falls to her death, and Jason almost battles to his death, they defeat Dylan, but he survives, and runs away, but takes Coach Hedge with him. Then, Annabeth and another random guy who isn't one of the main characters in this story, show up, and everyone finds out that Jason, Leo, and Piper, are demi-gods. Annabeth and the other dude take them to a camp just for demi-gods, and that's where they find out that Leo's dad is Hephaestus, the god of blacksmiths, fire, and craftsmen, Jason's dad is Zeus/Jupiter, lord of the universe, and the sky, and Piper's mom is Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty. They are assigned a quest, and they go through many challenges along the way. 

First, they meet Boreus, god of the north wind, and there they meet his daughter Khione. At first, he seems reluctant to let them go and wants to kill them, but then makes a last-minute decision, and lets them go. 

Then, their "ride" (a mechanical dragon named Festus) breaks down, and they land in a trap. Jason and Piper get caught by cyclops, and Leo has to fight them himself. When they're freed, they continue their journey.

Next, Piper has to save Leo and Jason from killing each other, because they were bewitched by the evil sorceress Medea, who came back from the dead. They also find the coach frozen, and save him.

After that, Jason saves them from Midas, by winning a sword fight, and turns Piper and Leo back into normal. (since they were turned into gold.)

Piper tells Jason and Leo about a dream she had, and that giants were holding her dad captive. They realize that have to save Hera, and Piper's dad on the same day. Jason, Leo, and Piper first save her dad, and Coach Hedge offers to take care of him.

Along the journey, Jason slowly and gradually starts getting his memory back. When he meets his long-lost sister, Thalia, she helps guide him, Piper, and Leo, to the place Hera was being imprisoned by. Jason defeats the giant, Piper frees Hera from the cage, and when everyone finds out that Khione had been making all the trouble, Leo, who has fire powers, fights Khione, who has snow powers. They eventually win after Hera unleashes her true power, and everything goes back to normal, except for one thing. Jason finds out that he's a roman, and Romans and the Greeks are supposed to be enemies. Camp Half-Blood, (the camp he lives in for now) is full of Greeks, and he, Annabeth, Leo, and Piper go find . . .

Percy Jackson, a Greek who ended up in a Roman Camp, just like Jason, except, of course, the opposite.

Evalution and Conclusion:
This is a very heart-warming book about friendship, trust, and also dealing with teen problems. It's a fiction adventure book, and you can really feel the emotions and thoughts of the characters. You see what's happening from their perspective and get to know each character even better. I think the theme of this book might be teamwork because, throughout the book, they always need to save each other, and if they weren't there, they probably would have been dead in two or three seconds. 

The Lost Hero is a really good book, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes;

He was raised by ghosts in a graveyard, and has a guardian named Silas, who is neither dead, nor living. Bod goes on many adventures together, and has lived there for 15 years. He goes on many adventures, meets new people/ghosts, and gets taught about different things in the world of the dead. If Bod leaves the graveyard though, he will be in danger of Jack, the man who killed his family. The problem is, once he got older, he wanted to go outside, and he wanted to seek revenge on Jack.

As life goes on in the graveyard, Bod meets Scarlett again, and they become (very close) friends. She introduces introduces Mr. Frost to him, and introduces him to Mr. Frost. She explains the murder, and Mr. Frost dives into it. When Mr. Frost offers to show Bod around the house, he leaves Scarlett alone, while Bod is upstairs. Mr. Frost turns around, getting something from under a floorboard, while explaining that the house he lived in, was the place the murder had taken, and when he turns around, he’s holding a knife. He’s Jack Frost. The murderer that killed Bods family. Bod uses his graveyard powers to defeat him, and escapes with Scarlett. Two other men working for Jack follow them, and Bod cleverly defeats them. He uses Scarlett as bait, and almost kills Jack Frost, the man who had murdered his father, mother, and older sister. Scarlett realizes that he was a “monster”, and runs away, scared of him. Later, he has to leave the graveyard, and lead a normal life, but he will always remember the ghosts who raised him, Scarlett, and everything else.

Characters:

Nobody Owens: The main character, a kid who was raised by ghosts.

Silas: Bod’s guardian, not dead, not alive.

Scarlett: Bod’s human “friend”.

The Sleer: A “thing/voice” that guards three items, and yearns for a master.

Mr. and Mrs. Owens: The ghosts that raised him most of his life. (or until he turned 15/16.

Plot: When Nobody Owens was just a baby, his family was murdered by a man named Jack. He escaped because he loved crawling out of his crib. He climbed onto a hill where the man Jack followed. His Father and Mother (who are ghosts now) asked the ghosts that lived on the hill to raise Bod, and they accepted. That is how Bod began his life in the graveyard. All the ghosts and dead beings that lived on the graveyard couldn’t go OUT of the graveyard, because they were buried there, but this one dude named Silas, who was not dead, but also not living, could go out. He got food for the human baby, and agreed to be his guardian. As Bod grew up, he got teachers who didn’t teach him stuff like math and science, but taught him things about ghouls, witches, and humans. He grew up in the graveyard, and met new ghosts, and humans. One day, he met a girl named Scarlett, and they became friends, but Scarlett had to move away. Later, when he turned 15, he met Scarlett again, and they became friends all over again. Scarlett’s mom was divorced, and she met this other dude named Mr. Frost. Scarlett told Mr. Frost about Bod, and the murder that had killed his family,  and Mr. Frost started investigating. He found out that HE lived in Bod’s old house, and under a floorboard in the attic, he found something…

He asked Scarlett to come, and to bring Bod with her, and when she did, he left her alone, and led Bod upstairs. When he did, he used a knife, and tried to kill Bod, but Bod escaped by using his graveyard powers. He realized that “Mr. Frost” was actually Jack Frost!!! Two other people come after him and Scarlett, and he defeats them. He (kinda) uses Scarlett as bait, and leads them into the graveyard, where his powers are stronger. Once he explains everything to Scarlett, who can’t see the stuff Bod can see, she becomes scared of him. She used to like him a lot, but when she sees how he almost killed the person who murdered his family, she thinks he’s a monster, and runs away. Bod knows that this is part of a human life, but can’t help being sad. Later, he slowly grows up, and can’t see or hear the ghosts. He realizes that he’s growing up, and becoming a human. After saying goodbye to the ghosts who raised him, he goes off into the world, ready to take on what he can.

Evaluation and Conclusion: I think that this book was a really exciting book to read, and whenever I had the book in my hands, my mom would literally have to yank  it out of my hands for me to stop reading. For people who like mystery, adventure, a little murder, and just books that make your blood turn cold, this is for you.

Introduction： Aru Shah and the End of Time is about a girl named Aru Shah, and her soul sister Mini. They are daughters of Indian Gods, and they have to find three items before their time limit, to stop the end of time, or else, everything will stay the same. FOREVVVEERRRRRRRRR!!!

Summary: Aru Shah was a normal 12-year-old girl (living in a museum) until 3 of her classmates showed up. Just for some background info, Aru lies a lot. She has a big imagination, and to fit in with all the other rich kids from her school, she lies. They forced her to light the cursed lamp, for revenge, and they did this all, while one of them was recording. Aru lit the lamp, promising herself that it would only be for proof that the lamp WAS really cursed, but when she did light it, it released a monster, “the Sleeper”. This caused everything to end in time. Literally. If someone was jumping, that person would have stayed in the air, not blinking, not breathing, not moving, and that dude’s heart would have stopped beating. Only she was moving. Then, a stone elephant barfed out a bird, and the bird started to talk. Yep. It explained how she was a Pandava, and she had a soul sister. She met her soul sister Mini, and they together went off to face the adventures all people who are Pandavas face.

Plot:

When Aru, Mini, and Boo go looking for the three keys, (the sprig of youth, the bite of adulthood, and the sip of old age) they face problems along the way. When they go to look for the sprig of youth, they have to fight a demon, and they barely escape. They use the gifts their god parents gave them. Aru got a “ping pong ball filled with pure light”, and Mini got a compact mirror that sees through enchantments. They have to use their gifts to fight the demon, who destroys every living thing she touches, with…  touch. The sprig is in the demon's hair, and together they defeat her, while Boo just sits outside pecking nothing.

The next key, the bite of adulthood, is even harder. Before going to get the second key, they go to a magical “Costco”, where the season gods give them gifts for their quest. 

Winter makes Mini a diamond bracelet out of ice in a black velvet box, it freezes an enemy in their tracks if thrown on. Spring knits a cube out of a thousand flowers which turns into a box containing four Petit fours. When eaten they will decrease your hunger and pain for a few days. Monsoon turns a waterfall into a grey pendant for Aru, it will cause her to hit any target like how water can go anywhere and reach anything. Summer caused fire and air to create a gold headband with delicate roses and a glittering butterfly on it, it will cause its wearer to forget something important. 

When the two Pandavas get to the location the second key is in, they meet “the Sleeper”. He fights them, but Aru notices that he holds a birdcage filled with clay sculptures of the god’s godly pets. They defeat him by using the diamond bracelet, and the headband. He freezes for a bit, but it gives them some time to look for the key. When he breaks from the ice prison, Mini throws the headband at him, and he thinks that it is no use. Later, when he leaves, he forgets the birdcage, and Aru and Mini find the “bite of adulthood”, with Boo’s help. (BTW, the bite of adulthood includes having to bite a book.) Aru doesn’t notice that “the Sleeper” forgot the clay figurines because Mini and she got into a fight. Mini leaves to the next destination without her, and Aru then notices the clay pets. She opens the cage, and the “clay” animals turn into real animals. She takes a flying, seven-headed horse, and they fly to the next destination. When Aru meets Mini there, they both apologize, but they need to find out where the third key, the sip of old age, is. Mini, who is very smart, finds out how, but they almost get blown up in the process. 

Once they find the three keys, they go to the underworld and reincarnate into the human world. 

Just want to let, whoever you are, know, these are just a few of their adventures. They go to lots of other places, and barely make it in time. 

When Aru and Mini get back, everyone unfreezes, and Aru and Mini’s lives are (hopefully) back to normal. They still are Pandavas, but they still are Pandavas.

Evaluation and Conclusion:

This book is a really nice book, and I couldn’t go anywhere without it. I can’t wait to read the next book, (Aru Shah and the Song of Death) and I totally give it 5 out of 5 stars. Hopefully next time we go to the library, you can read this book! I think the theme of this book is “friendship”, and that “you gotta go through life, ‘cause not everything is fair”. Anyone would like this book, and even my sister sneaked a look at it while I wasn’t looking! Hope you enjoy it!

                                           Before the dragonets, beyond the war of the SandWing queens — the dragons of Pyrrhia each have their own story to tell. Like FierceTeeth, stuck in a SandWing prison, obsessed and full of thwarted ambition. DeathBringer, at the very beginning of his journey, desperate to prove himself. And Six-Claws, a loyal SandWing who will soon find out that loyalty comes with a price.

The way I would summarize this book is that there are 3 stories that are connected. The first one is about Fierce Teeth, and he is stuck in a sandwing prison. I don't remember all the stories very well but I think that he was telling a story to one of the guards and trying to convince the guard to break him and as friend out. If the guard broke only him out, the guard would just be another guard he would kill. The second story about Death Bringer who is trained and sent to kill one of his own kind to go to a mission. He does this and goes, but his partner is unconcise and he does it on his own. After he succeeded he found out that his partner was captures. Third and final is the story of a SandWing soldier named Six-Claws. It tells how he became a soldier and what he will do to his own kind.

Summary: 

     It all starts when they go into middle school. A kid named Dwight. Everyone calls him a total loser. He always picks his nose, carries a piece of paper that uses the "force." Always in trouble, getting picked on by others, and most of all, finding a way to ruin it for others. This case file was made to determine whether or not his piece of paper AKA origami Yoda really uses the force, or is it just a hoax created by Dwight that he uses to get more popular. Here are the stories of how origami Yoda actually used the force. I mean, come on, this is Dwight. He is a master origami folder, and this loser couldn't create a hoax this good to fool the whole entire school. The first story takes place in the PTA fun night where you dance with a girl. Last year things were disastrous in fifth grade all because of Dwight. He bumped into this girl Jennifer, and spilled her water. Dwight then used his shirt and cleaned up the spill and asked her if he wanted to dance with her. She said no. This year things wouldn't have been okay if origami Yoda never used the force. This year, this girl named Hannah was just standing by herself, and Harvey tried to get Tommy to dance with Hannah, but Origami Yoda said, "Rush In Fools Do," and Tommy took this advice. A few seconds later a big guy 1.5x the size of Tommy came and started dancing with Hannah. He got saved because of Origami Yoda "force." Another time was when Kellen also got saved by Origami Yoda. When he was going to the bathroom, someone possibly Harvey, wrote Kellen drinks pee. He leaned over to erase it, but his pants got wet, and it looked like he wet his pants, but he only had a minute to get to class, so he had to ask Dwight and his Origami Yoda. His Origami Yoda said, "All of pants, you must wet" That probably meant that he had to make all of his pants wet, but he didn't have enough time, so instead, he wet part of his pants, and it didn't look like he wet his pants. Most of all, he never got humiliated by the whole entire class and wasn't late. Another story was when Origami Yoda helped Mike. He helped Mike by making him stop crying when he struck out in baseball, he would always cry because people like Tater Tot always hit a home run. Yoda said, "You wish to hit a home run hmm?" And he says, "better than you they are," and everyone laughs. Then Yoda says, "Let go of your feelings, Mike, hate and revenge to the dark side only lead." When Mike strikes out again, he never cries, so that proves that Origami Yoda is actually using the force. Well, this guy named Harvey still doesn't believe in Origami Yoda's force. The next story is related to the end of the story. It's about how Origami Yoda saves Sara's grandmother from being sad about the divorce she and her husband had a few years ago. When they tried to ask Yoda anything, all he said was: "The twist you must learn." He kept saying "The twist you must learn," "The twist you must learn." and he kept on saying that. Well, they never knew what the twist was, so they googled it. Well, everyone except for Harvey AKA the nerdy kid who knows everything. Then he started telling all about it and acting like a jerk until the bell rang. When Sara got home, she and Amy searched up The Twist on YouTube. When her grandma heard it, she came into the room and said, are you doing the twist? And then they said no, they were watching it. Then her grandma said, you can't watch it, you have to do it, and her grandma started to shake her knees and wiggle, so Sara and Amy started dancing, and they never saw grandma have so much fun after their divorce. This all proves that Origami Yoda used the force, and Harvey still never believed it!!! The next story is about how a girl named Cassie, and when she breaks Shakespeare. Shakespeare was a very prized possession to the teacher, but Origami Yoda helped to make the teacher not passive, but even happier about the statue. When she entered the class, she did her class, and on the way out, she bonked it, and it crashed and it broke into a million pieces. She then tucked into her backpack and she was doomed. Well, not exactly. Dwight and Origami Yoda was her only hope, so she had to ask Origami Yoda. Origami Yoda said, "New one you must make" and then "MUST!!!!!" So, when Cassie got home, she made another head to replace the broken one. When she came back to school she sowed her teacher, Mr. Snider the head replacement. He said it was now even more prized and had more sentimental value, and he also laughed his head off. This also proves that Origami Yoda has used the force to solve one more problem. Also, he tried to help solve a problem but they never listened so they lost money. A new movie came out called Parasite Within: Legend Of Vampyre, and everybody was so excited to watch it. Yoda said: "Down two thumbs are, cheesy are the special effects," but they still went and guess what?? They thought the special effects were cheesy, and no one liked it, so Yoda was right, again. Even the owner of the puppet, Dwight, wasted his money!!!! There is another kid named Quavondo AKA The cheeto hog. Well, no not anymore. All because of Yoda. One normal day getting bullied and called Cheetos hog. Well, Quavondo was tired of being called Cheetos hog so  he decided to ask Yoda. Yoda sai- wait let me tell you how this happened. First, he went on a field trip to 🤬 hole plantation, Quavondo was first in line to get snacks, but when he put his money in, his chaperone, Mr. Howell, was screaming at them: "Put the ******* money down this ****  needs to end now!!!! Haven't you read the ******* rule book?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? This is ******* logic guys!!!!" And so Quavando said: "Well, I already put my fricken money in for crying out loud" Mr. Howell replied: "Well, choose something you want," so Quavondo chose Cheetos. When he opened it everybody started grabbing it, so Quavondo started to swallow it. Then, people called him a Cheetos hog. Now he asked Yoda: "Cheetos for everyone you must buy," so in the assembly, he bought Cheetos for everyone, and he stopped getting called Cheetos hog! Now all these things led to the question is Origami Yoda real? READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Dislikes: I want more books for the series. That is pretty much it but There is one more thing. I would like a more interesting story line. This one is but reading other books is a common plot. Still enjoyable though. 

Theme: The obvious theme is friendship. Skander and his friends do not fail. But I think there is a deeper message that is deeper. My thinking is that the author is trying to tell us that bonds cannot be broken. Friendship is the greatest bond Also against all odds it can get through anything.

Connections: I see this related to wonder. I see how Via and Kenna are the same. I see that they both are very loyal and kind to their little brother and also stand up to bullies for them. just like Auggie and Via. And just like Via, Kenna seems to have less of everything. Since Skander gets a unicorn She must seem to feel that she has less.

Sometimes, Dwight will lie in really really weird spots. Like if you're trying to find a book in the library, you might see him lying near the encyclopedia section.

Sometimes Mrs. Toner, the P.E. teacher, might send someone to get things from their locker, and when he goes, there is no coming back, so Lance had to go to find Dwight. When he gets to the lockers, he hears Dwight saying: "SAVE ME SQUIRRELS!!!!!" When Lance opens the door, Dwight says: "Oh. I thought it opened the other way"

In fifth grade, last year, he wore the same shirt for an entire month because he got it free at some place. The shirt said, biggie size your combo for only thirty-nine cents

He can crack/make knuckle popping sounds that will make everyone barf. It isn't predictable, like sometimes if you're trying to give a report on oral health to Dr. Henshaw, you might hear the knuckle popping sounds. The pops are so loud, and Tommy would like to know JUST HOW DO YOU DO THESE MASSIVELY LOUD KNUCKLE POPPING SOUNDS? All he does is put his hands under his chin and, CRACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes when kids try to be nice to Dwight and try to talk to him, all he says is something like: "Tycho Brahe has a wax nose," or something funny or weird like that.

In fifth grade(Last Year(For them)) Dwight tried to get people to call him Captain Dwight, and kept bugging them until they reported this issue to Ms. Rabski, and Ms. Rabski made him stop.

"Captain Dwight" even wore a cape to go along with

When they enter seventh grade, Harvey at the library introduces Darth Paper they get into serious trouble, and Dwight is kicked out of the school, so they are stuck with Darth paper. They had some troubles, but Yoda told them to make a case file. When they started the case file, it was gonna save Dwight, but in a way they would've never imagined. 

When Dwight came back, Dwight said they would fight a war against Funtime

Summary: A boy named Charlie Price who lives with his sister Imogen and their dad lives together in a house. They had a terrible loss which is the death of Charlie and Imogen's mother. They were devastated ever since their mother passed away. Until Charlie came up with an idea he would make dinner. Not just any special dinner with a special recipe of their mother's spaghetti. Charlie tried really hard to get the exact spaghetti that their mother made. Although he put ginger which made everything horrible for Charlie Price. His sister Imogen got so mad because she was so excited that Charlie was making their mother's spaghetti but the spaghetti turned out to be gross for her. When Charlie took a bite he was so upset at himself. Hew thought he could make their mother's spaghetti but he couldn't. Charlie threw the ginger jar for making the gross taste but it hit Imogen's birthday crown instead. Imogen cried, cried, and cried she said it was the worst birthday ever and that she just wanted to live with mom.  Imogen then ran to her room in tears. Then the ground started to shake. They all thought it was just a little earthquake. Imogen  Charlie was so upset his spaghetti was that gross. He started wanting to go back in time before this all happened. The next day Charlie was at school and thought about Frank, his old friend that had gone missing. Charlie missed Frank so much. Frank just suddenly gone missing one day and was never found. Charlie shook that thought out of his mind.  After school Charlie went to pick up Imogen from play practice. But Imogen wasn't there. Charlie asked the play teacher where Imogen was. She said that Imogen felt sick so she went home. That is when Charlie ran home as fast as he could. He called "Imogen" "Imogen", but there was no answer. He searched everywhere for her but Charlie couldn't find her. He went to her room and looked under the bed to see if she was there. But instead Charlie saw a little door on the ground. He started to hear voices from the door. Charlie just pulled the door open in curiosity. Then he blacked out. The first thing he saw was his mother and Imogen together in the living room. They greeted Charlie. Was this a dream he thought but it wasn't. Charlie couldn't believe his mom was actually alive. All three of them had a great time there. Until Charlie discovered their family pictures there but something was not right about it. Imogen and Charlie were both fading in the picture as if they were disappearing. Now It was time for Imogen and Charlie to go back to their home. The next day Charlie went to pick up Imogen from play practice but she wasn't THERE! Charlie knew where she was down the little door in her room. After knowing that Charlie rushed to their house and into their room. Charlie opened the little door and then he blacked out. Imogen was there with their mom again. Charlie asked why Imogen was here. Imogen ignored all the things he said. They played a game altogether. They played a scavenger hunt. Imogen and Charlie started looking for certain items on the list. But weirdly but surely their mom said NOT to go in the living room. But Charlie knew why. The pictures on the walls in the living room. Charlie now started thinking these thoughts: Is this even the REAL WORLD?!, Am I dreaming?, Am I in heaven? But Charlie just shook it out of his mind. It was time for Imogen and Charlie to go back. They went up the little door then they were in Imogen's room. The next day Charlie kept getting thoughts that the other world that is down the little door is unusual and weird. at school Charlie joined back in the mathletes. (Mathletes are math students who compete to win math competitions). There were announcements for the teams. Charlie noticed that Eliotte his friend was qaulifying for almost everything. He got impressed by Eliotte's skills. But Charlie was most amazed he didn't know all this time that his friend Eliotte is so talented. Charlie came back from school and looked for Imogen. She was in her room practicing her play script. The next day Imogen and Charlie went down the little door to the other world to visit their mother. Their mother greeted them the moment they got there. She had already made her special spaghetti for them to eat. Charlie and Imogen both dug in. They both enjoyed it so much. Charlie went to the living room hall to see the family pictures. Charlie and Imogen were faded even more than the last time Charlie had checked. Charlie started getting these thoughts again: Is this world even a REAL WORLD!?, Am I dreaming?, Am I even alive? Charlie went to his room and looked outside the window. And he saw something unbelievable. Frank. The next day at school Charlie was practicing for the mathletes competition that was coming up with the other mathletes. After School Charlie went home and on the front porch was Ruby (the dog). Charlie wondered why Ruby was here. Charlie asked Ruby where Edna (the owner of a bakery and the dog) is. And of course Ruby didn't say anything because he is a dog. Then Charlie just said everything that had happened the past few days. Everything about the hatch in Imogen's room and the alternate world where their mom is still alive. And also Frank. Charlie then got a blanket for Ruby and cuddled him in it then went inside his house. The next day Charlie felt awful he couldn't remember certain stuff about their mom and their past family memories either. He went in Imogen's room and it looked like the same thing was happening to Imogen. Now Charlie thought about if this was happening because of the alternate world. Was their mother taking away their past family memories? No that couldn't be true Charlie thought. After school Charlie got the courage to tell somebody he trusted about the alternate world and the past family memories neither Charlie or Imogen could remember. And it was Eliotte. Charlie spoke with her privately after school. After Charlie said everything. Eliotte said the statement Charlie wanted her to say. Well, Let's go save Frank. So they both ran to Charlie's house as fast as they could. Eliotte was faster because she was in cross country. They both arrived at Charlie's house. They both went to Imogen's room and went down the hatch. But it didn't work. So they went to Eliotte's house. Eliotte needed to say that she only wanted to live with Jack (her brother who passed away). Eliotte said it out loud and then the ground started to shake. They went to Eliotte's room and looked under the bed. The hatch was there. They opened it and went to the alternate world. Jack greeted Eliotte immediately and tried to play with her. But Eliotte and Charlie had to save Frank. They ran out of the house with Jack. They ran to the bowling alley where Charlie saw him go. Then Charlie told Frank about everything. Frank started to remember who Charlie was. Then Frank decided to escape the alternate world. They didn't have much time to find Imogen and bring her to the real world. They all ran to the library to see if Imogen was there. And she was she was with their fake mom. Charlie grabbed Imogen and ran. They needed to get out fast. They ran to Eliotte's house and opened the hatch. They couldn't go. So they all said that they only wanted to live in the alternate world. They opened the hatch and it let them all through. Then they all lived a normal life together once again.

Characters: 

Charlie: A boy who had terrible losses but got through them with his friends and learned a whole bunch of things during the escape from the alternate world.

Imogen: a girl (Charlie's sister) who believes in fake stuff. She believed that the alternate world was the real world and the mom there was real. But Charlie helped her know that the alternate world and everything inside it is fake.

Frank: A boy who has been gone from the world for years. He was found by Charlie in the alternate world and was rescued.

Eliotte: a girl ( Charlie's friend) who is kind and is a good friend. Charlie told her about everything in the alternate world and she helped Charlie save Frank and Imogen in the alternate world.

Jack: a boy (Eliotte's brother) who ahs passed away. Eliotte missed him so much. But the Jack in the alternate world was fake. 

Charlie and Imogen's mom: she has passed away without spending much time with her children. She was in the alternate world but was fake there.

Charlie and Imogen's dad: A work busy dad who can't find much time to spend with his children. He is always busy but sometimes makes time to spend time with his children.

Ruby: a dog who likes to sit in front of Charlie's front porch. Charlie told the dog everything about the alternate world. And of course a dog can't talk.

Edna: a bakery owner who owns Ruby. Charlie eats at the bakery she owns. Edna had a loss like Charlie. But it was her husband.

My like: I liked that it was a really interesting story.  There were a lot of losses that was sad but I still really liked the story

My dislike: I didn't like that they didn't save the mom and Jack so everybody could live another happy life.

        Harry Potter was a boy living in a tiny room that rests under the staircase. Growing up Harry believed the lie that his parents died in a car crash, he believed all the lies from the Dursley family. The Dursley family was the only relatives he had left when his parents passed away, therefore he was sent to live with them. Strange and peculiar things happened to the boy, for example on Dudley’s birthday the family went to the zoo and there Harry was standing in front of a snake, it was caged by unbreakable glass and very well guarded. However, Harry was able to talk to the snake and the glass seemed to have disappeared, now the snake was out and slithering away. Other strange events include the time he got shaved bald and the next morning he had as much hair as before.
