Grievances?
The failure to gain territory from the war caused bitterness in Italy in the 1920s. There was lots of unemployment and social unrest.
Plans?
Mussolini wanted to gain power to become a dictator which he did by taking control of the parliament with his allies during a time when many Italians were bitter about the outcomes of the war. Mussolini wanted to conquer "inferior" nations. He wanted to conquer Abyssinia. He wanted to spread militaristic propaganda to gain support for his Fascist government. He also wanted to dominate Europe, and in 1936 he and Adolf Hitler formed an alliance to do so.
He targeted school children with his propaganda. He targeted and repressed any public opposition to his rule. He and 100,000 Italian troops targeted Abyssinia to conquer it.
Effects?
There was an extreme rise in nationalism. Militarism and brute force were glorified. The fascist state imposed its will upon all sectors of society, creating a totalitarian state.

Starting with the US, countries begin passing tariffs intending to protect their domestic economies.
How does this help create a GLOBAL depression?
The passing of tariffs in the US leads to a decline in economic growth, trade, and a higher price on goods. This ultimately leads to a global depression because many countries dependent on foreign trade would need to pay this tariff, cutting the amount of exports and profit for that country. The higher prices on imported goods lead to inflation, and the US will not have enough to pay off debts, impacting the economy on a global scale.

What were they?
They were meant to transform the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR or Soviet Union) into an industrial power.
What were the goals?
Stalin wanted the Soviet Union, which was largely agricultural, to catch up to the industrial nations of the West.
Stalin wanted the Soviet Union to have more efficient farms and a more effective farming system, so he implemented a plan of collectivized agriculture.
What were the outcomes?
The collectivization of agriculture was a big failure because the elimination of private land ownership and redistribution of land, livestock, and tools under collectivization policies lowered yields and caused a famine. On the other hand, heavy industry grew in the 1930s and many factory jobs were opened. Also, the cost of living was low. The USSR rapidly industrialized and was increasing its military power.

Plans?
Stalin wanted to make the Soviet Union stronger so that it could challenge the West. He wanted to unite the country under communism, and he did this by slaughtering supposed enemies of the people. He wanted to control all aspects of society, and he needed supporters to do this, so he used propaganda.
Targeting?
Stalin targeted kulaks (well-to-do peasants) because he blamed them for being greedy and keeping surplus food for themselves. He blamed them for the Soviet's food scarcity problems, and therefore roused Soviet youth to a war on the kulaks. He targeted and punished his political opponents by executing them or sending them to labor camps where many died.
Effects?
Stalin consolidated power to become a dictator, and a one-party totalitarian state was created. He had an complete authority over the economy, the media, and virtually all of society. Youth were indoctrinated into Stalinism.
