         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Columbus and their crew tortured the natives<br>- they brought diseases that can be infected to the natives (for eg- small pox, chicken pox, influenza, measles, etc... )(deadly to natives)<br>- small pox was the most feared disease because of the highly mortality rate in infected Natives<br>- Lots of people dies of these diseases ;ㅁ;<br>- the slave trade- Columbus kidnapped a lot of people and forced them to work (they forced them to work for him and be slaves)<br>-  after forcing them to be slaves, they would trade them with <br><br></div>]]></description>

According to The History Channel, Columbus kidnapped and enslaved hundreds of indigenous people, forcing them to work on plantations and as servants. Later colonists and explorers followed his example. Slavery quickly spread from the island of Hispanola to South America, Mexico and the areas that would become the American South.<br><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>
