I am excited to read this book, because I read Wonder and I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed the plot line and the how it was written with perspectives each chapter. I like that alot because the main character should just take all of the spotlight, but it should take most of it. and I am really interested to read it from others perspective. For example Julian the bully I really want to know what was really going through his mind. Also Will when he betrayed Auggie.

I really want to finish the series but I read the 2 one which I think was the most popular one, which was the The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. It was so interesting and I really loved the setting in the fantastical world. I used to not really like fantasy and if you were one of those people I think that this series should change your mind but I haven't finished it yet.

In my fantasy football league their is a list called the waiver wire. Some really good player named Austin Ekeler was on the wire, because somebody dropped him because he was hurt not thinking he was coming back soon. I claimed him because I wanted to refrain the other people in my league from claim him. Soon enough it went through and on saturday before the game I got him but I had to bench him because he was still hurt.

The lunch tables are made of a small group that have the same interests, which are cliques and will mostly hang out and do schoolwork other activities together. For example you have the sports table where kids sit together based on the sport they play. For example football/ lacrosse/ basketball. My table liked baseball, football and basketball. Another group are kids that like video games so they would sit, eat and talk about their favorite video game that they like. Mostly boys sit with boys and girls mostly sit with girls but they definitely have mixture and that's what for these small groups. Groups can combine these are just my idea and people can sit with who ever they want.

Mind Work - Bystander by James Preller

(1) Characters - Eric, Griffin, Cody, Hallen Back, Mom, Rudy,

(2) Setting - New middle school in new jersey.

(3) Conflict - Eric is struggling moving, and he wants to have friends and he meets these kids before the first day of school and he tries to be friends with them. Soon after he realizes that they are bullies and he is getting in the middle of it and he is doing bad things, for example he is lying to his mom. He is learning why bullying is bad in school and it is reflecting on him. Now he is the one getting bullied and he doesn't know how to get out of it.

(4) Theme - Friends aren't always true friends. I think this theme fits this story very well, because he was getting into trouble and he wanted to be considered a cool kid, and after he realizes that this isn't going to work and he met a new friend, for example Mary who is a very sweet kid, they are a good example of a true friend because would a friend bully you. Also I think that, think before you act is a good one because Eric made a bad choice and backfired because he didn't want them to get mad.

(1) Throughout the story I really emphasized with the main character Eric. One way I did that was that it was hard moving I feel him, my dad moved from a few towns same with my mom. Especially, when you already established friends at that age. The most important way is when he got turned on by Griffin and Cody and rest of bullies. It was hard because it was extreme bullying. For example when Griffin found out Eric's locker code he put a knife in their and accused Eric of doing it. Now he is good and has true friends that. he can rely and relate with

(2) One way I felt annoyed for Eric is the severe bullying from Griffin and his friends, it is unexceptable. Also, Eric just soaked it in. I can relate this to Wonder when Julian and his friends were bullying Auggie. Auggie justed soaked it in. Lastly, he stood up for himself and that is what you are supposed, it ended up affecting him in a positive way because he showed the bullies that he is stronger than them and poof Griffin is not a bullying because Eric clearly showed that he is stronger than them.

(3) I wonder how the story would have went if Griffin was in Eric's shoes. Because, Eric would be the bully but he would make the right choice and not have the victim (Griffin) make the choice. Also how the mom's would be if their personalities weren't going to change because Griffins mother probably isn't as mature and strict as Eric's

(1) This book is definitely, a window and a mirror. Schooled was more of a window for me because I have never had to learn a new environment and I have never been bullied, it showed me a great example for why it is don't judge a book by it's cover. It showed a great example a 80's hippie from the south, I think the author really wanted to emphasized the trait unique to teach a very important lesson. But I just can't relate to his situation and I have never been bullied or severely bullied so it just won't fit me.

Mirrors - Schooled By Gordon Korman

(2) This book was slightly a Mirror because I am a boy and I go to a middle school that's the obvious one. But I also think that the personality on the inside is kind of the same, for example he was never rude to Zach and the bullies he always kept his calm and soaked it in that shows how he is serene in that situation. He got off character in one scene when he punched Zach but it was only for self for self defense only. I am mostly serene during the day. Also he is kind hearted to everybody for example, The guidance counselors father made promises that he can't keep and instead Cap went out and bought all the things that dad promised his daughter. In the end after the he saved a bus driver because he had a heart attack, everybody started to judge him on his acts and his personality not what he looked like and that was a blessing because, he showed that he is a role model and a good person. Lastly the bullies friends betrayed the main bully.

I really liked how we did the the reading identity slide and then the puzzle project. I thought those were really fun and a good way to express our reading self. Next, I thought the word wall was useful and I really like the google slide part because their were a lot of options and I enjoyed that very much also. Then it got a little harder with the windows and mirrors and this time you write a response about your identity with the book. And finally the mind vs heart was cool. It was wasn't as fun as the first 2 or 3 assignments, but overall I really enjoyed this unit. Also this project right now is enjoyable and is in my top 3 favorite projects this unit.
