We put cuttings out of magazines into the tea bags or into the folded tissue paper. Once your cuttings are in the tea bag or tissue paper, you put a wooden peg onto it so that the cuttings won't fall out. The simplest being the twirling hanging piece with a plastic cup. For this I cut diagonally around it until I reached the bottom. 
I enjoyed created glasses out of paper and plastic, I used mainly paper for this as it was able to be built up more for stability, I only use plastic circles for the lenses. 
I enjoyed the techniques of the paper more, I think you could create more in more interesting ways than you can with plastic, even if they don't look so impressive. 
I had used paper and plastic again for the flower bouquet, the paper was very simply rolled, creating the big cone. using the bottoms of a bottle and then using a cutting knife to change the shape of it. Then cut two long pieces of net, laid one onto the bin bag. I got a few bits of cotton wool, and started tearing it apart until it was thinner. Putting the thin layers onto the net, then once the first layer was laid, I did a second. After 4 layers of thinned out cotton wool, I cut up pieces of felt and placed them onto the top layer of cotton wool. 
Once I had finished placing my fabric onto the wool, I placed the other piece of net onto the wool. In a bowl I mixed wallpaper glue and water together, this was done in bits and slowly to create the correct paste, as I didn't want it to be too thick or then it wouldn't go through the wool.  You have to push the mixture into wool to let it go through fully.
