We recognize the importance of those relationships in a community-based model. However, existing in a macro zone of capital-based work, we generally live without that ability to be human and transparent, to have needs, to have missteps, to have new ideas and changes in direction-- in our relationships with funders. This is the organization at the tension point between people-centric thought and product-centric thought. For that to change, I think, requires the funder to also recode
