Oodgeroo Noonuccal was born on the 31st November 1920 and passed away on the 16th September 1993 at the age of 72. Her former name was Kath Walker, she was a idol in campaign for the reform of the Australian constitution, to allow aboriginal people the rights to be involved in politics. She was a poet, a political rights teacher, educator and artist. She wrote many books about poetry that were very popular although the public had a different views on the book saying that an aboriginal could not have written a book like that. Her work got noticed widely in Australia.
