Franklin urged other representatives to support the constitution in 1787. He wrote a speech persuading other delegates to sign. Even though not all delegates signed, Franklin's speech probably persuaded some delegates. He did advocate for executive power to be placed in the hands of a commitee and not one person which did not end up happening.
