The central idea of the painting is that humanity tramples over nature and has no appreciation for it. This is because the painting shows things such as flowers and fruits, which would be representing nature, underneath the horse and the woman. In addition the woman and the horse have the same coloration which makes it hard to distinguish the two which could be the author trying to say that the horse is being controlled by the human or the horse is essentially a part of humanity in this case.

The central idea of Georgia O'Keeffe's "Red Canna" is even in the dark places, we can grow and shine bright. The painting is of a flower in the middle of what seems to be a dark and gloomy background. The flower is a bright red and seems to be emitting some type of light, showing how it's healthy and developing. Even with the dark and gloomy are surrounding it, the flower is able to thrive. This is just how like we as people can thrive in the dark places if we just believe we can continue to grow.

The flower being bright could mean that the person is growing in some way or "shining."

The central idea of Georgia O'Keefe's 'Red Canna' is that even in the darkest places flowers can bloom, as we see in the painting it has some kind of weird background that is definitely not the sky or nature, despite that the flower is still bright red color and not dying. I think the flower represents a human and what we are learning from this is that even tho how dark or tough the world can be the human is still happy.
