They usually dump waste in the ocean which causes a negative impact on most of the living things living in the ocean as they will think that the waste is food and will eat them. The chemical potential energy in the waste could kill them. Dumping waste in the ocean can also reduce the amount of dissolved oxygen in the oxygen

Global warming is the long-term heating of Earth's climate system observed since the pre-industrial period (between 1850 and 1900). It is caused by increased concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, mainly from human activities such as burning fossil fuels, and farming. The greenhouse gas includes carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and water vapour, and fluorinated gases. Since the Industrial Revolution, the global annual temperature has increased in total by a little more than 1 degree Celsius. The earth’s rising temperatures are fueling longer and hotter heat waves, more frequent droughts, heavier rainfall, and more powerful hurricanes. It could also lead to higher death rates, dirtier air, higher wildlife extinction rates, higher sea levels and more acidic oceans.

Water pollution is the realest of harmful substances into bodies of water. Usually or a more logical word , MOSTLY this will cause the ecosystem to be disrupted. Aquatic creatures like fish will mostly suffocate in this water (in other words, they do not have a great time) Usually these harmful substances come from different time of factory or human waste like plastic (obviously) Some of these substances are non-biodegradable that means they will stay in bodies of water for....EVER ( dun dun DUNNN). Fascinatingly about plastic, plastics can convert to micro-plastic. Which will attract planktons or crustaceans to eat them which will in the end up to us humans :) . So every fish we eat will contain harmful substances that we produce everyday .

In the long term, the lack of healthy, nutritious soil can lead to low yields and food insecurity.Deforestation Affects and Contributes to Climate Change

Deforestation also has a very strong contribution to climate change. Why? Let’s remember trees absorb and store CO2 throughout their lives. If we speak about tropical forests, they hold more than 210 gigatons of carbon, according to WWF. And what’s worrying is that the destruction of these trees has two big negative side-effects.

Depletion of Natural Resources is the process of a greater rate of consumption than the rate of replenishment, causing the resources to disappear after a few years, for instance, trees are chopped down faster than the trees are reproducing more new plants. Therefore, I think that it is important for us to reduce the amount consumptions of these natural resources, especially the non-renewable resources. We can prevent over fishing by implanting a catch limit and educate the younger generations about the effect of mass fishing. Lastly, we can prevent overfarming by Rotating crops and embracing diversity,Planting cover crops,Reducing or eliminating tillage,Applying integrated pest management (IPM),Integrating livestock and crops,Adopting agroforestry practices. Therefore, I think that it is Important for us to reduce the amount of consumptions of these natural resources, especially the non-renewable resources. -Elton

Soil pollution can harm public health and animals, as well as the quality of groundwater and surface water. Its effects are of several kinds, namely deferred or immediate, but also direct or indirect. Contamination of groundwater, loss of topsoil, water nutrient enrichment and increased risk of wildfires (because of the dry conditions created by the pollutants in the soil) are among the consequences of land pollution. As land pollution and soil erosion progress, animals are forced to shift habitats and adapt to new conditions. As a result, some species are at risk of extinction. The potential effects of soil contamination on human health include breathing disorders, birth defects, skin diseases, and cancer. Because of deforestation and forest fires, soils lose their vegetation cover. The erosion process is thus accelerated, creating soil degradation as well as water pollution. Deforestation leads to the loss of the land’s value.

The loss of trees and other vegetation can cause climate change, desertification, soil erosion, fewer crops, flooding, increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and a host of problems for indigenous people.
One of the most dangerous and unsettling effects of deforestation is the loss of animal and plant species due to their loss of habitat. 70% of land animals and plant species live in forests. Not only does deforestation threaten species known to us, but also those unknown.

The trees of the rainforest that provide shelter for some species also provide the canopy that regulates the temperature. Deforestation results in a more drastic temperature variation from day to night, much like a desert, which could prove fatal for many inhabitants.
In addition to the loss of habitat, the lack of trees also allows a greater amount of greenhouse gases to be released into the atmosphere. Healthy forests absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, acting as valuable carbon sinks. Deforested areas lose that ability and release more carbon.

The trees also help control the level of water in the atmosphere by helping to regulate the water cycle. In deforested areas, there is less water in the air to be returned to the soil. This then causes dryer soil and the inability to grow crops.
Further effects of deforestation include soil erosion and coastal flooding. Trees help the land to retain water and topsoil, which provides the rich nutrients to sustain additional forest life.

Without forests, the soil erodes and washes away, causing farmers to move on and perpetuate the cycle. The barren land which is left behind in the wake of these unsustainable agricultural practices is then more susceptible to flooding, specifically in coastal regions.
As large amounts of forests are cleared away, allowing exposed earth to whither and die and the habitats of innumerable species to be destroyed, the indigenous communities who live there and depend on the forest to sustain their way of life are also under threat.

The loss of forests has an immediate and direct effect on their lifestyle that we in the highly industrialized parts of the world, despite our own dependency on what the rainforest provides, will never know. The level of immediacy is exponentially greater for indigenous peoples.

The governments of nations with rainforests in their borders often attempt to evict indigenous tribes before the actual clear-cutting begins. This is one of the pre-emptive effects of deforestation.

Human activities release CO2 into the atmosphere, which leads to atmospheric warming and climate change. Around a third to a half of the CO2 released by human activities is absorbed into the oceans. While this helps to reduce the rate of atmospheric warming and climate change, it also has a direct, chemical effect on seawater, which we call ocean acidification.
Ocean acidification reduces the amount of carbonate, a key building block in seawater. It makes it more difficult for marine organisms, such as coral and some plankton, to form their shells and skeletons, and existing shells may begin to dissolve.
Marine organisms could also experience changes in growth, development, abundance, and survival in response to ocean acidification. Most species seem to be more vulnerable in their early life stages. Juvenile fish for example, may have trouble locating suitable habitat to live.
Ocean acidification has the potential to affect food security. Commercially and ecologically important marine species will be impacted, although they may respond in different ways. Molluscs such as oysters and mussels are among the most sensitive groups.
Marine ecosystems such as coral reefs protect shorelines from the destructive action of storm surges and cyclones, sheltering the only habitable land for several island nations.
The capacity of the ocean to absorb CO2 decreases as ocean acidification increases.

The most known consequence of deforestation is its threat to biodiversity.By destroying the forests, human activities are putting entire ecosystems in danger, creating natural imbalances, and putting Life at threat.Deforestation for Food May Lead to Food Insecurity in the Future

Today, 52% of all the land used for food production is moderately or severely impacted by soil erosion.

And what’s worrying is that the destruction of these trees has two big negative side-effects.The construction of human infrastructures has also been driving deforestation. More specifically, 10% of deforestation can be attributed to new infrastructures that serve the current human lifestyle in four main ways: transportation, transformation and energy generation.

On one hand, roads, rails, ports or airports have been built to move all sorts of goods – from cereals and fruits to spices, minerals or fossil fuels – either directly to trade centers or to transformation sites. So while at first there were only fruit trees, roads soon arrived to allow transporting fruit to other regions. And while some goods were and are collected manually, others such as coal, oil, natural gas, biomass, but also meat, dairy or spirits, required the construction of large extraction, transportation and/or transformation infrastructures.

Global warming is a Long-term heating of earth’s climate system. Most global warming is from burning of fossil fuels, which increases heat trapping greenhouses gas levels in earth’s atmosphere. This can lead to more common heat waves and wildfires. Warmer temperature increases the rate of evaporation, whichever means there will be more intense weathers. Global warming can threaten both humans and animals. We can stop global warming by using renewable energy such as solar panels for electricity. saving water also helps to reduce carbon pollution too. That’s because it takes a lot of energy to treat our waters so take shorter showers.

It happens when the chlorine and bromine atoms in the atmosphere come into contact with ozone and destroy the ozone molecules. One chlorine can destroy 100,000 molecules of ozone.

Depletion of natural resources occurs when we use up natural resources faster than they are replenished. When we consume large quantities of resources, they may become depleted. Some example of natural resources are oil, metal, forests and water. Some natural resources cannot be replaced once they are used up. An example is metal. Some natural resources can be replaced but this requires time, which can range from tens to millions of years. Moreover, with the growing global world population and an increase in the demand, the rate at which we deplete these resources is higher than in the past. Unless we do something about resource depletion, the world may eventually run out of them. Therefore, it is extremely important that we play our part in the conservation of natural resources. We can firstly practice the 3 Rs - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. We can reduce the amount of natural resources we waste, reuse things like water and use reusable bags when shopping and recycle whatever we can. We can also reduce the amount of resources we consume.
