Moscow starts to have no control over whats going on and doesn't know what to do. Moscow needs to find a way to get back on track and find a way to make it stop. Luckily, the cold war soon ended after that. This matters now because, if a country doesn't have any control, it could end in a really bad situation and could potentially start up a war!

In an operation code-named Mike, the first hydrogen bomb was launched at Enewetak atoll in the Marshall Islands, November 1, 1952. This matters now because there are so many different types of bombs that any country can get their hands on making it hard for everyone to control what other countries do.

After WWII, the Cold War began. The US and the Soviet Union and their allies, there was a war between them on economic and other political reasons. This matters now because there was a lot of conflict in the war and moving forward to now, every single war that has ever happened in history has had at least some form of conflict between 2 or more countries. It also matters now because at the end of that war, the Soviet Union turned into a bunch of other countries. Changing how we see the wold forever
