Beatrice Prior uses this habit during many events. She mainly used this habit when she jumped off the roof, after the choosing ceremony, along with the other Dauntless members. Tris did not panic, nor did she have a meltdown. Her heart gave her so much courage to just get it over with. Tris remained focus with her brave personality, because she believed in herself and was the first one to jump off the roof. Her stress flushed out of her body when she landed on the safe net!

Tris uses this habit because when she was taking the aptitude test. When the girl told her to chose either a knife or cheese, she kept asking why, why do I have to chose, what is this for? She also uses this habit when she was playing capture the flag. She asked herself, how can I find the other team's flag, by getting a good vantage point, so she climbs on the top of the ferris wheel, finds the other teams flag, and wins at capture the flag. One more time Tris uses the habit of mind questioning and problem posing is when she figured out she can manipulate the system and fear setting to whatever she thought of so she was asking herself how can I make this fire go out? When she thought of how to make the fire to go out, the fire stopped because she thought of water.
