         <title>Carer&#39;s Leave </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Carer's leave allows employees to take time off of work to deal with personal illness, caring responsibilities or in the case of family emergencies.&nbsp;<br>Carers leave can be both paid and unpaid for an employee.&nbsp;<br>An employee can be paid for their time off if they're unable to work due to personal illness or injury.&nbsp;<br>An employee is also entitled to 2 days unpaid leave in order to support a family or household member due to illness, injury or an unexpected emergency.&nbsp;<br><br>The rate of pay for an employee taking paid carers leave is set at a base rate for every hour they would normally work. This base rate does not include extra entitlements. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>(Sick or carer's leave)<br>When and employee has time off due to illness or injury or has to take care of immediate family or household members who have illness or injury.&nbsp;<br>A full-time employee is entitled to 10 days of personal leave per year or pro rata for part-time employees. Casual employees do not receive personal leave.&nbsp;<br>Employees usually must give evidence of illness or injury to be eligible for the paid service leave (eg; doctor's certificate). Employees get 2 days of unpaid personal leave if they have used up their allocated 10 days of paid leave.&nbsp;<br>The amount of leave accumulates from the employees first day and remaining un-claimed days can be carried over to the next year.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>All employees (including casual employees) are entitled to compassionate leave.<br>Compassionate leave can be taken when a member of an employee's immediate family or household:&nbsp;<br>*dies<br>*contracts or develops a life-threatening illness or injury.&nbsp;<br><br>Everyone is related to the employees can be taken compassionate leave, or if the employer agrees to this.&nbsp;<br><br>The compassion leave can be taken as&nbsp;<br>*a single continuous 2 day period, or<br>*2 separate periods 1 day each, or<br>*any separate periods the employee and the employer agree.&nbsp;<br><br>An employee does not accumulate compassionate leave and it doesn't come out of their sick and carer's leave (or annual leave) balance. Employees are also entitled to up to 12months of unpaid parental leave and they can request up to an addition 12 months of leave. &nbsp;<br>Parental leave entitlements covers:<br>-maternity leave<br>-paternity and partner leave<br>-adoption leave<br>-special maternity leave<br>-a safe job an no safe job leave<br>It is eligible to all employees in Australia and can only be taken when the employee:<br>-have worked for the employer for at least 12 months&nbsp;<br>-before the date or expected date of birth if the employee is pregnant&nbsp;<br>-before the date of adoption<br>-have or will have responsibility for the care of the child.&nbsp;<br>And parental leave can be taken after<br>- an employee gives birth<br>- an employee's spouse or de facto partner gives birth<br>- an employee adopts a child under 16 years of age. <br><br><br></div>]]></description>
