To start off, this was not my first time in the UK, but only when I set off to this particular journey I fully understood what is England! United Kingdom is a land of opportunity and personal progress. Here you feel free to express yourself in any way possible and you will always receive help and knowledge in what you are doing. I chose Brighton because its not as busy as other popular English cities. People here are always cheerful and happy. Any situation you will always get a hand by complete strangers. This city has its own soul, in here you start to forget about your problems and just go with the flow. When I will finish my foundation program ,I’m willing to get in to Durham University. It is a great opportunity to further live and work in my home country. There I have no doubt in receiving all the knowledge I will need! Im very happy to be here!

In my country we have a lot of different styles of teaching. Most people prefer to take private lessons instead of learning everything in school. In Ukraine students have to learn 10-15 subjects at once, but most of them wont need these subjects in future. That I believe is a big mistake of Ukrainian education.

Students in Ukraine receive a lot of homework for every subject, so the work load is enormous. In fact its so much work, kids can hardly make it through.

Friendships in my country are also very different, because we have larger classes than in the UK, mots of the classes are friendly inside and don’t except anyone on the outside. So sometimes there is always a race between classes.

Classes sometimes have over 30 people in them, so the student can never get enough of the teachers attention. That is another reason why student take private lesson due to the lack of information they get in class.

In my opinion CIT is a very important class, it teaches you the basics of word and excel, which would be really important in your university studies and further life. These skills will provide you with time saving knowledge any successful person needs to master. I personally didn’t get too far with my studies, but I definitely did learn a lot of new features about excel, and it makes my life more practical without wasting my time on thing that I don’t have to do anymore. Despite learning new things, I still struggle with caching up with the class. My typing skills are not so good, so for most of my assignment I spend extra time finishing my work. I would include more of engineering part of your computer. This will allow students to handle their laptop problems on their own. I’m very satisfied with the overall teaching process, but I would recommend considering more time per assignment idea. Which will help students who finished faster move on and be ahead of schedule in stead of other kids being behind.

Now a days there are lots of ways of studying English, two of toughs are general and academic. I personally take two English classes- IELTS and English skills. IELTS is a much more academic class as it is meant to prepare us for the IELTS exam, which you have to take I you wish to study at a Uni. English skills is a more general way of learning English. Our assignments mostly consist out of essays, reading and writing passages, and sometimes we just sit and argue about a specific topic to improve our speaking.

I find it hard to concentrate on reading assignments sometimes, because they are always tricky and I never have enough time to find the answers in the text. But I also noticed that I have a talent. If I hear something important during the lesson, it prints in my memory and I tend to never forget it if needed. This ability I have discovered helps me a lot while listening exams, and just regular lessons.

In conclusion I would like to add that different learning methods suit different people, there is never a right of wrong answer when it comes to different types of learning.

Image-https://imgglb.padletcdn.com/v13/image?t=a_exif,c_limit,dpr_1.0,h_878,w_1600&url=https%3A%2F%2Fpadletartifacts.blob.core.windows.net%2Fprod%2Fd67bbb52d94fdf8571e3110441ea5160%2Fphoto.jpg

Technology is developing with the speed of light these days. That is one of the reasons why I chose to study CIT. Because of Computer science is developing so quickly it is very important to learn the basics of computing, which are provided specially in CIT classes. Without the basics I will never be able to learn further in too computer science.

I have really enjoyed studying Excel. So far it was very interesting because I have never used excel before. It is fascinating how useful this app can be, with the right knowledge and shortcuts. It is mostly used for management as its interface is in fact a table.

Lately we also started learning word. In this case I have used it a lot before, but I still was quite surprised with the amount of different possibilities that I had no idea about in the past. I know that I will be using word a lot, especially in the university, which is important to learn all about it and use this

program at its maximum potential. As I have mentioned in my las week journal, I have struggles with catching up to classmates, although my class is very friendly and they always help me if I am behind on something. But I’m working on improving my skills all the time and can already see results.

This term I have 3 Computing modules which are, extremely important for each student who is studying computing as a subject. The three modules are: CIT, Pure Math 1, and Decision Maths. All of these modules are equally important and I will prove my point further in the essay.

CIT:

I have talked about this course a lot in my previous journals, and have said that I do enjoy this course even with sometimes struggling to catch up and be on time with the rest of the class. CIT is indeed a very important class, as it gives the student needed basics on using the hardware of the computer, how it works, and looking further into basic computer programs such as Word and Excel.

Pure Maths 1:

This class in particular is the most important out of all my current Modules, due the fact that it is the only module that has its own entry requirements which differ in all universities. Math is also an essential subject to learn if you plan of studying any exact sciences. Mathematics is one of the oldest sciences to ever been learned by humans, and as we say “there is no future without past”.

Decision Maths:

This module brings a very interesting and exiting experience to me. In class we learn how to think outside the box while solving computer based problems, or writing programs. This course is also very important as it teaches the students the logical way off lining up the process of solving problems of any kind, in the smallest amount of time and using the least amount of work force.

All these subjects are similar and different at the same time. In fact personally I enjoy decision math the most because sometimes pure maths or CIT are boring, which never happens during decision maths classes. We always have new material to learn about.

In the past 2 months I have learned a lot about myself. For example, I understood that I’m capable of doing really good in education if I will have the desire to learn. I also understood that getting good habits, like making your bed after you wake up or washing the dishes right after the finish of your meal, is a matter of a few weeks.

I would also like to tell you about our class like a small community off student who always help each other in case of any trouble. Our class consists of equally important students and we always participate together in everything school related. I’m am very pleased that I have a wonderful opportunity to study with my classmates, all of us are good at some subjects, so if anybody is struggling with math, but is very good with English, this person will receive all the help we, as a class, can provide and of course will help others If they struggle with anything English related.

In this class we also have a lot off not school related but also very interesting topics discussed, for example I had absolutely no idea that some Nigerian people use sunflower seeds to make tea. All of my classmates are highly educated and are always open for any kind of talks, we have great time together.

In conclusion I would like to add the fact that a person will not make any progress in anything unless this person truly wants it, nobody can tell you what to do, only you can, but sometimes that is the hardest thing to do. I extremely enjoy my education and over all experience I’m getting at Bellerbys Collage.

image-https://www.google.co.uk/search?tbs=sbi:AMhZZiunp-f3Y6hovsrRFrxLuthR0P0bHi8_1DTKL0qQZkg0okWC0r9s62z0b8DqrSoqoZrGomD6rOMuyHELdOLDPQ2e1aiwZUOlIfGQRjR2YDSE05um36l2ag0-g30hXg-RV4ZKz0Mx55LMX99xP3RGkCAHm0sLDgLOIo0rNM5IRUyUg6qoexI6KEChsFAVn0rxoI6wJ9bYtP-o696u-ROmpdnZmR1asQXwV77VQk-Q7AZNi15iAa3Ls7eiYj44xxslzIaQciUl6I5fyx5rd6VRfrF1zYV2hAbhYMUApAqWFWnrMDw9FkgBmhWoVPOLvFSPBEzgPF0OrobCFGqbJ2zv0Rr7FWO7BXg

I am a fan of different TV shows, especially Game of Thrones. It is an amazing show with such a diversitile character, it has a lot of different story lines which intersect from time to time. But there is only a few main characters, John Snow- the king of the north and a believed bastard of Ned Stark, the previous king of the north. Daenerys Targaryen - the daughter of the previous king of the 7 kingdoms, Aerys Targaryen. Cersei Lanister, and more.... All these characters are played by amazing actors, which combined create an amazing show that leaves the watcher speechless and desperate for more.
Video-
https://youtu.be/vW6U97QUjmw

It was also a great location, only a 10 minute walk from Oxford street. it also head great catering are and a well designed residence hall. I was overwhelmed with the uni. and chose it as one of my UCAS choices.
LINK-https://www.westminster.ac.uk/
