Today I had only one significant teaching class. At 8:40 a.m., I went to Class 3S and took them through a new reading revision just as I did on 13 November. The students showed due interest in what was being taught and given to them. As always, I spent considerable time marking and correcting the workbook exercises, admiring their commitment and efforts in doing the tasks.

TUESDAY 19 NOVEMBER

Today, I had one relief class that was Class 2O for two periods. I entered the class from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Since it was a relief session I allowed the students tackle their homework on their own ensuring that they remained orderly and on-task. It was an opportunity to monitor their focus and how they manage their time closely without necessarily having to be bored while doing so.

WEDNESDAY 20 NOVEMBER

Today was such a special day because I got to go to four distinct classes as I take teaching and relief turns. The school provided me three relief classes and one teaching class, to keep myself active from the beginning.

At 7:30 a.m., First thing in the morning I had Class 3K for a two-period relief session. Students aimed at rehearsing for the UASA exam and I made sure that they were compliant with studying actively.

At 9:30 a.m., I went back to Class 3K for teaching session. Just as I have stated in my teaching program, I asked them to exercise what they learned through the revision exercise on the Modul Inovasi English workbook. I gave them five essays in reading assignments but included an additional assignment because they usually take little time in doing their tasks and the quiz tests their aptitude by increasing the number of questions.

At 11:40 a.m., I went to Class 2L which was a one-period relief class. Not surprisingly, the students were busy doing their own assignments, and I just let them be.

Lastly, at 12:50 p.m., The last class was again with 3H at one period Relief thus ending my day’s teaching. As usual, at some point students had some homework assignments to complete, thus I allowed them to continue with it, still guiding them being aware of the time.

Four classes in one day were tiring but a good way to see how versatile the job of a teacher is.

THURSDAY 21 NOVEMBER

Today, I was supposed to teach two teaching classes , but I only had the chance to do one class because Class 3K students were to go for their BM Bengkel. For Class 3S** I told them that they needed to concentrate on revision as I led them through a rehearsal of the lesson plan of 18th November.

Throughout the years, the school management gave me three relief classes to handle. At 11:10 a.m., I joined Class 2J for one period of the day. The students were already expected to do homework from their specific subject teacher and therefore I affirmed to them that i was going to discipline them to do their work.

At 12:15 p.m., I transferred to Class 3A for another one-period relief class. The students managed to use the time efficiently for independent review because their tests are soon to come.

Finally, at 12:50 p.m., I went back to Class 2J for the final relief lesson of the day. As per our tradition, I watched them while they completes their set tasks, and I make sure they are productive and attentive during the session.

FRIDAY 22 NOVEMBER

Instructing, I only had one teaching class and two relief sessions today at school. At 8:40 a.m., I joined Class 3S for two periods. Mid-way through the lesson I explained different types of informal mails along with the correct format for writing the mails. I also seized the chance to re-emphasize on some pitfalls that was done by most of them and urged them to make what I have taught them to be the practice in their practice.

Later, at 11:20 a.m., I proceeded to attend a one-period relief, class Class 3M. Our own Science teacher had set me to check on them on their science exercises and I made it my duty to see that they were in order at all times.

Lastly, at 11:50 a.m., I proceeded to take Class 4A2 for another one-period relief session. My duty was to supervise their UASA Mathematics Paper 1, and ensure that there was minimal noise and distraction to students in the process of writing the paper.
