The idea of having electric typewriters was a great idea in the mind of George C. Blickensderfer, although it was not a huge success at all. Not many of these typewriters were sold or made at all because most people’s homes weren’t even able to run the electric typewriter. Cities and homes hadn’t standardized electricity yet, and voltages varied throughout places.

Keyboards since then have now had a flat design, easier to tap and type, LED lights under the keys, etc. Keyboards are now being used on computers and other devices such as laptops, phones, tablets, etc.
