         <title>Korematsu VS. United States - 1944</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>After the attack on pearl harbor, the government said that all Japanese people have to go to interment camps because they worried the Japanese where spies or dangerous. Korematsu refused to go to a Japanese internment camp. he said that his 5th amendment right of due process was violated. </p><p><br></p><p>The supreme court decided that the United States being at war outweighed his right to due process. </p><p><br></p><p>This case is a negative example of the Founding Ideal Rights because even in a time of war, Korematsu should not have his right violated</p>]]></description>

         <title>Olmstead VS. United States - 1928</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In 1928, federal agents suspected that a man named Roy Olmsted was running an illegal liquor business. With out a judicial warrant, the agents installed wiretaps on the phone lines leading to the office and home of Olmsted. Agents were able to listen to the phone conversation and gather evidence that he was guilty. </p><p><br/></p><p>This court case connects to the 4th amendment.</p><p><br/></p><p>In a vote 5-4 the court decided that the wiretaps had not broke Olmsted's 4th amendment right.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>This case in a negative example of the founding ideal rights because the agents listened to all the conversations going on in Olmsted's home.</p>]]></description>

They accused the churches founders of defamation for invasion of privacy and the intentional infliction of emotional distress for displaying signs that had disrespectful sayings on them. </p><p><br/></p><p>This court case connects to the 1st amendment</p><p><br/></p><p>The court decision  was 8-1, and they said that the speeches' and protests were protected by the 1st amendment right.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Tinker V. Des Moines - 1965</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In 1965, students in Des Moines started to wear black armbands in support of the truce in the Vietnam war. Their school made a policy that if you wear them, you would be asked to remove them and if you refused, it would end up in a student being suspended. 2 students wore them to school and they both got suspended. The parents sued the school for breaking the student 1st amendment right.</p><p><br/></p><p>This court case connects to the 1st amendment</p><p><br/></p><p>The court decided that the students did not lose their 1st amendment right.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Mahanoy Area High School v B.L. - 2021</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>B.L, a student in Mahanoy high school, made the cheerleading team, but not the rank she wanted. So after a long week of school, B.L posted a snap on her public story that said "F*** school f*** cheer". After she posted the snap a lot of girls from the cheerleading team saw this and reported it to the school. The school took action by kicking out B.L from her cheerleading team. Her parents sued the school after this happened.</p><p><br/></p><p>This court case connects to the 1st amendment</p><p><br/></p><p>The court said that the school suspending her went against B.L's first amendment right.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Bethel School V. Fraser - 1983</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In 1983, a student attending Bethel High School, Matthew Fraser, gave a speech for a class mate that was graduating. The speech was in an assembly with more than 600 people. In the speech Fraser said numerous sexual references. Before the speech, his teacher told him that if he said the speech, he would face consequences. After the speech the assistant principle told him that he broke school policy and is suspended for 3 days. They also told him that his name would be removed from the list of graduates that would be graduating that year.</p><p><br/></p><p>This court case connects to the 1st amendment</p><p><br/></p><p>The court ruled that the school did not violate Frasers first amendment right, and that  the school do not have to tolerate lewd and obscene speech.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>One day in Cleveland, Ohio police officers barged into Dollree Mapp's house without a search warrant, claiming she was a suspected bomber. In stead of what they were looking for, they found a trunk full of obscene pictures in her basement. She was arrested. She argued that her 4th amendment rights were broken and violated by the search.</p><p><br/></p><p>This court case connects to the 4th amendment</p><p><br/></p><p>The U.S supreme e court ruled in favor of Mapp. they said that the evidence was seized unlawfully and without a search warrant. this evidence cannot be used in criminal prosecutions.</p><p><br/></p><p>This case is a positive example of the founding fathers rights because Mapp's rights were defended.</p>]]></description>

They were questioned by the school administrator. T.L.O denied the allegations. The administrator searched T.L.Os purse and found cigarettes, marijuana, a wad of cash, and a list of people who owed her money.</p><p><br/></p><p>This case connects to the 4th amendment</p><p><br/></p><p>The court concluded that the search of T.L.OS purse did not violate the 4th amendment.</p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

He was hit multiple times by the principle.</p><p><br/></p><p>The court said the school should not have the power to overrule the school policy.</p><p><br/></p><p>This case is a negative example of the Founding Ideal Rights because even if Ingraham didn't answer the teacher on time it does not mean that he has to be hit multiple times and get in trouble.</p>]]></description>

The school made a new drug testing policy which allowed random drug testing of the student-athletes.
