I assimilated to the American accent by watching many videos where people used the American accent. It proves to be an advantage because now I can communicate better and it isn't difficult for me to understand people or them to understand me.

My parents have adopted the American culture by celebrating holidays such as Thanksgiving and watching Hollywood movies more often. A huge advantage of assimilation is that it can ease the process of fitting in. However, a downside is the feeling of losing one's original culture and traditions along the way.

my cousins moved here about a month ago and they do things much differently there. So when they came they had to eat what americans ate, wear clothing like what americans ate, and also had to go to school but everything was in english. An advantage is that when they get used to being here things could be much easier and maybe better then before. A disadvantage is most things that americans do they dont like doing that.

By eating American food, celebrating American holidays, going to American festivals, doing American activities, like playing football. The advantages are that you are able to relate to people of that culture, a disadvantage is that you focus of what you assimilate to more than what your past culture was.

My family and I have assimilated into American culture by, learning English, celebrating all the American holidays, eating American food, etc. A disadvantage is not being able to celebrate your culture as much as you used to.

I have assimilated to american food. The advantage of eating American food rather than Indian food is having a larger variety of food. The disadvantage of eating American food is that you eat less of your own culture's food.

Some ways people I know assimilated to the American culture are by adapting to the food and clothings. We had to dress with warmer clothes cause of the freezing tempetures. The advantage is that I could fit in while the disadvantages are that losing one's cultural clothing.

A way that my family has my family has assimilated to the American culture is that they went to school and learned the English language from their teachers. They have also made friends with people who are familiar with the culture and were told about the holidays and traditions they had.

People I know have assimilated into the American culture in many ways. For example, the driving style and roads. In other countries, the signs look different and could mean multiple things. One advantage is adopting a new thing and being accustomed to it. At the same time, a disadvantage could be forgetting the old way.

Some advantages to the american culture is being able to talk to different people, being comfortable and learning to adapt to different environments and get out of your comfort zone. Some disadvantages of adapting to this is the lacking of cultural identity and differentiating.

Some ways that I assimilated to the American culture is that I changed my style, clothes, hair, etc so that I can fit in here. Another thing is that on Christmas, my family exchanges gifts as-well too. One disadvantage is that your not able to express your culture that much here and it's just not the same.

People have done many things to adapt to American Culture. Some people I know who have adapted to American Culture are my cousins. They came from India, and it took them a good amount of time to adjust to American food, holidays, sports, etc. Some advantages are that they could fit in more and try new foods. One disadvantage they have is speaking English, which took them some time to fix.

They can follow American traditions and culture from their old culture like music and foods.

Advantages:

You understand how it is like in America and you can be more involved and still have the old culture.

Disadvantages:

You may want to revert back to your old culture if it is bad enough.

My sibling and I have assimilated the accents of Americans by watching videos and being helped by our peers. The advantage of assimilating the Americans is that the accent helped us understand the people. The disadvantage of having an accent is, that when me and my siblings speak our native language, we sometimes have the accent.
