I believe education itself is different for each and every student. Students first must understand the importance of education and the opportunities it can provide for each individual. It is our responsibility as educators to stress the importance of gaining a strong education and discuss with our students that not all children have access to an education. In order for a student to be successful and flourish they must be provided with a secure and stimulating environment. The environment must first exemplify structure and provide each student with the opportunity to ask questions and state opinions freely. 
            As leaders we must ensure that we support our staff by providing the necessary means for each teacher to implement meaningful instruction and social/emotional skills. Communication must be clear and open and we must lead by example and set expectations high for both staff and students.

While working on obtaining my license I accepted a position as an SEL where I found a passion for leadership and pursued a Master’s in Educational Leadership where I obtained my principal certification. After receiving my principal certification I accepted an assistant principal, principal, and then a director of education role at The Pathway School.
