Infancy

During my first months, I am an easy-baby as per my mom. I can sleep without being carried, just a rub in my back would do. My mom and my aunts would usually take turns in taking care of me. I also like taking a bath.

Toddler years/Early childhood

During my toddler years, I am naturally happy and adjust easily to new situations. I am also others are more observant, cautious, and need more time to feel comfortable in new environments or with new people.

Preschool years

My preschool years was one of the best years I had. I am friendly and was easy to handle during my school days. Although sometimes, I need more play time but I still follow my yaya or my Lolo.

Elementary school years/School age

As per my mom and dad, when I was in elementary days, I would never go out running outside my classroom. I will be left by classmates because I was still arranging my books and notebooks properly before playing outside. I also want everything to be organized. Which I still have with me up to this day.

Adolescence

On my adolescent stage, I started to exhibit mood swings, test boundaries, and seek social validation, sometimes displaying a confident "bullet-proof" attitude. I spend more time with my friends and got into sports. I have learned and seek adventurous sports that can are heart-stopping and challenging. But slowly, I realized that I have to focus on my life goals to have a better future by focusing more on my studies so I can graduate and make my parents proud.

REFLECTION!

I can honestly say that the misconceptions I had about PERDEV were completely wrong. I really thought this subject would be boring and repetitive, but it turned out to be so much fun and even felt like therapy, especially with a teacher like Ma’am Celine. This subject helped me understand my emotions better and taught me how to handle things I used to think were out of my control. The written works, which I first thought would be long and boring, actually turned out to be fun and engaging. They made me reflect a lot and really got me interested in the topics.

One of the biggest lessons I learned from PERDEV is that there are different kinds of love. Each one is unique, but some are also quite similar. It helped me notice patterns in behavior and made me realize that some of my friends might be experiencing the unhealthy types of love. The mental health and wellbeing plan also made me think deeply about the things I truly love. It was actually hard to choose just three, but I ended up with sports, food, and adventures.

I really thought I wouldn’t like PERDEV and that it would just be one of those “filler” subjects, but it became something I genuinely enjoyed. Not just me, but the whole class too, even those who don’t usually pay attention in other subjects. I really loved PERDEV, and I’m so thankful for Ma’am Celine!
