(#2) Have we simply modernized racism by modernizing the terms we use to speak about racial bias? Shifting to more "acceptable" terminology but with the same insidious backing - e.g. blaming low achievement on "cultural aspects" such as their family/parenting style, music, hobbies, etc. without outright stating "their failure is because of their race" and instead saying "their failure is due to these unfavorable cultural aspects (referring to a minority group's culture)." Watch out for this sugar-coated racism!
