Sports-sports were becoming extremely popular in the 1920s. Media coverage through various things like newspaper and radios for example, were making sports a big entertainment, and national pride. There is an event that brings all of the americans together-The Olympics, this shows that even back then Americans have pride and enjoys sports and sportsmanship. Sports made people connect, and express themselves in a way that even today, it is even bigger and more encouraging to the youth of America. Sports in the 1920s were still separating African Americans and women. Nowadays sports are for everybody in all shapes sizes, and skin tones. Sports were also a way for people to get their mind off of the tragedies of World War 1.

The 1920s were commonly called the roaring 20s. Before the 1920s, everyone was classy, dating for marriage, and hardly ever stepping put of line. By the 1920s a lot of people started expressing themselves, more casual dating, taking more birth control, partying, drinking illegally, dressing more provocatively, and all around having more fun in life, especially after WW1 nobody wanted to take their short life for granted. Women were protesting for more rights, African American culture was coming to life, and people were exploring fashion. Even today people are still exploring boundaries, experimenting with style, things they like, and they way they act.

The Harlem renaissance is when African Americans were becoming creative, and expressing there culture and style in many forms. African Americans made jazz music popular and trendy. Music styles were changing, and improving, there are many different kinds are art styles like, painting, music, photography and more. In modern times people are still changing and getting more creative with the way that the make their art.
