But this not was promised to the Africans. Many had already been exposed to European deists and built some immunity. Many had experienced informing and could teach others. Africans did not know how t escape and were less likely to because they were unfamiliar with the land. Their skin made it easier for them to catch them if they tried to blend in with the others. The Europeans turned to African slaves to force them to Christianity. African slavery you were put into and you were taken away from your home. Also, you were treated like an item inside of a human. Then wage labor you had a choice to work and you got paid. You also had more rights while if you were a slave you had no rights. What advantages did Europeans see in enslaving Africans?

Europeans believed that it was okay to enslave Africans because they weren't Christian. Their dark skin color made it easy for Europeans to differentiate between Spaniards and enslaved Africans. Unlike the Native Americans, Africans were immune to European disease. Since Africans are unfamiliar with the foreign land, they would have a hard time escaping. A new market, the Transatlantic trade. African slavery was much harsher than indentured servitude because indentured servitude happened for a shorter amount of time and it was not forced where as in slavery, the person was forced into it and conditions were much harsher.
