This has drastically changed the world as we see it today because the United States has had its hands in each corner of the globe. The United States from here has been able to assert themselves as dominant world power and this has had a huge impact on the world. The United States has been in the middle of numerous wars and business ventures that have had impacts that we are seeing today. From wars in Europe and Asia, to business ventures in the Middle East and other areas of the world... The United States has managed to get its hands on everything. All of the major world events that have involved the United States were only possible because of what happened in the year 1776. The world would never be the same when the United States gained its independence. The whole world has had to make decisions based on the United States.

1- French Revolution began.
2- The fall of the Bastille Prison
3- US Congress proposes the Bill of Rights.
4- French National Assembly issues the Declaration of Rights of Man and Citizen.
5- US Congress establishes Department of Foreign Affairs now referred to as the State Department.
6- 1st US electoral college chooses George Washington as President and John Adams as Vice-President.
7- William Wilberforce makes his first major speech on abolition in the UK House of Commons, reasoning the slave trade morally reprehensible and an issue of natural justice.
8- 1st national Thanksgiving took place.

We decided that this is the second most important date because it's when the French Revolution began which was an event that wanted to change the relationship between the rulers and those they governed and to redefine the nature of political power. The French Revolution was a major event for the world because it changed France and Europe as a whole in such a major way. There would be a tremendous amount of violence due to the Revolution. Many countries from here began to attack France because they were rattled out how thousands of years of tradition was destroyed. There was also a lot of violence within France as the revolution resulted in the Reign of Terror which was responsible for Napoleon becoming the leader of France. This itself would have a huge impact on the world in both a negative and positive way. When it comes to the U.S., the political structure and government were implemented in order to maintain order. The Bill of Rights was proposed and many states signed the Bill of Rights and officially were classified as states under the constitution. This made the United States a more unified country that had to work together. This would change the way that the U.S. went about making internal and external decisions.

The French constitution was proposed and accepted by the King of France which basically allowed "active" citizens who paid a minimum sum in taxes the right to vote for electors and choose local officials directly. Wars were still taking place in 1791 but they weren't as significant in the grand scheme of things. The Haitian Revolution began this year which was the largest and most successful rebellion that led to the end of slavery and freedom from the French.

Their main motives was to establish constitutional monarchies and the revolution in Greece was to claim independence from the Ottoman Empire. Also, their main purpose was to defeat tyranny and establish constitutional governments. Many of these revolutions was a failure but this demonstrate their constant that the liberal-nationalist strength was getting more powerful than before.

Third Most Important:1804

1- Napoleon comes to power.
2- Thomas Jefferson becomes president of the United States.
3- Spain declares war on United Kingdom.
4- Haiti gains their independence.
5- Louisiana purchase
6- Lewis and Clarke journey begins.

This was another important year because of what went down. Napoleon coming to power was massive because of how it would change not only France, but, the world as a whole. His leadership would ensue chaos all over Europe because Napoleon was determined to make France a dominant world power that would control what was happening globally. A lot of violence and chaos would happen during the time of Napoleon and it was only possible because he came to power during this year. One of the things that would happen with Napoleon is the Louisiana Purchase which changed the game for the United States and France. This allowed for the United States to have access to the west side of the continent and it allowed for Napoleon to get millions of dollars that he needed for his cause of asserting French dominance. The United States was able to send Lewis and Clarke out to find a route to the Pacific Coast which was so massive because now the U.S. could go out and start having people live off the land. This made the United States a dominant power because they practically doubled their land and they were able to get way more resources that would make them an economic superpower. Haiti gaining independence was massive too because this was the first black ruled republic. This also motivated other places in the Western Hemisphere to gain independence from European powers. This event changed the world forever because it broke multiple barriers for colonies and social justice. Spain declaring war on the United Kingdom would also shift the power in Europe which would change the world. Spain at this point in time was trying to get their dominance back and they were competing with the British in order to get more power. This war would shift power in Europe by allowing the French and Spanish to weaken the United Kingdom.
